We ordered three dishes, salads and a side dish. The cucumber salads were served with forks, and the plate of french fries came with a spoon. It should have been the other way around, lol. The dishes were way too overpriced, including the salad, which lacked salt, pepper and vinegar. The croquettes were good. The waitresses seemed nice.

Good food, efficient service

The place is rather big and if you want something more family run, you might want to go somewhere else. The food, though, is good, service efficient, prices good and a large playground arena for small kids. So for families, this is an ideal place to dine.

Rude staff

Very rude staff. Do not enter this restaurant. They will treat you well only if you are foreigner and probably not even that, will help you. Also, their prices are almost like in a tourist trap restaurant. Do not even start with, "we will start with a drink" he will directly tell you to go away. We arrived at 11:03 with opening in 11 and he told us that it's still closed and that food is not ready and they are not "only drinks restaurant".

Terrible owner

its awfull place to visit in Loket. we wisit this place in summer, thirsty and we want cold beer at first and next search something to food in menu... but owner was wery unfriendly... he looking just for German or Rus custommers

We have waited almost 2 hours for our meals, the waiter/owner had few snarky remarks when asked about drinks and was quite rude to another customer when they questioned their order… The cherry on top was that it was cash only! It doesn’t state this anywhere And as meal for 8 people was about 2700czk I wasn’t expecting to pay this in cash!! Should have read t he reviews upfront!

Terrible experience!

The staff was very rude, I never experienced anything like that. He threw us in the rain with two small children, because we just wanted to have coffee, beer and something small. Very unprofessional, poor manners.

Had really bad experience. The waiter was rude. The BEER was WARM!!! The soup was not tasty and they don’t accept credit cards.

Nice local place with affordable prices. Really good czech traditional food. Service was also really nice. If you want to feel comfortable and have a good meal, visit this place. There is also interesting story behind the name of the restaurant and it makes it even more attractive to visit.

We ordered the pork knee, a soup and some fries. The soup was a tiny portion and the taste was worse than the soup that you buy from the market and you add boiled water. The pork knee although the portion was big, it wasn't cooked the same day, the meat was rough and the skin unchewable. The high light of our meal were the French fries and that says a lot..

Fast and delicious

We visited Svejk Restaurant because it was the first restaurant in Loket we saw and we were so hungry. And in the end we were happy that we were there. The waiters were very kind! They speak a good English. Fast they ask for our order and the drinks come fast and 10 minutes later also the main dishes. So really a good time for serving the meals. We had chicken fillet with potatoes croquet and duck with potatoes. It were big portion and also very delicious. After the main dishes we had an apple strudel as dessert. Was served with vanilla ice cream and cream. Also tasty and quiet fast in serving. We can recommend Svejk Restaurant to you if you want to try Czech kitchen. It's a great place in a nice atmosphere.

Hugh portion of good food.

This restaurant, in a more quiet street of Loket, is a good choice if you, like me, love hugh portions of meat dishes. My mix of three grilled meats with three different kinds of potatos were juicy, tasty and a bargin. I was sadly driving, so I couldn't enjoy a local beer to go with it. The staff was quick, but maybe a bit short. Could be because of a slightly poor English?

Very nice food

We were waiting quite long time for the food. But anyway it was worth waiting for. The food was really delicious. Thr old waiter was a really nice guy. Making a lot of fun and were really friendly and nice. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't fir the waiting time. Good czech food.

Bit more expected

We were waiting for our lunch a bit much. My duck food was good but the beef stew my boy friend ordered was too salty. The staff was friendly although they didn't speak English or German too much. The prices were high for the quality and the quantity.
