We had a superb evening at the restaurant. Each course was perfect and the amuse bouches were all fantastic and unexpected! Great wine and the best cheese board ever! The owner was brilliant and explained each dish and where any local produce came from. He...even gave us a lift back to our accommodation! A fantastic evening - would recommend it to anyone!More

This brasserie was a great choice and recommended to us by our b&b host (La Bushaye). It was a great choice, we had a lovely evening enjoying good food and very friendly service from the owner (if not a bit too over the top!) who...translated all the menu choice for us as there wasn't an English version. Can be a bit pricey if you decide to go all out, we chose a middle priced meal with drinks which came to approx 100€. However, excellent food, cooked imaginatively and presented well. Good atmospher with a mix of character and contempory surroundings, rural setting quiet location.More

First of all, the format of Fiasko has changed. Fiasko used to refer to the gastronomic restaurant, with Le Bar d'Astrid being the brasserie part. They have since abandoned the Fiasko restaurant (whilst retaining the name for the premises which includes a whiskey bar), and...the only restaurant is now the brasserie. However, they have not entirely abandoned the gastronomic element; the core menu is quality brasserie food, but there is also a gastronomic menu in case you prefer this. We were very warmly welcomed by the maître d'hôtel, who broke into English upon learning that was my mother tongue. He also speaks French, German and Dutch... Quite the character, he was very friendly and jovial, and provided fantastic service. The food was very good (the house red wine was super too) and the atmosphere suitably 'chaleureux' for a brasserie. We won't hesitate to go back again soon, since it was also a struggle to decide which of the delicious sounding items on the menu to go for! An "Ok, this time I'll take X, and next time I'll take Y" kind of dilemma. Next time, I may also be enticed into their Bar à Whisky...More

We were on a long bike ride having crossed over the border from The Netherlands. We got caught in a thunder storm and the friendly staff arranged a delicious meal for us even though their kitchen was closed. It was one of the best pieces...of beef I've ever tasted and the cognac sauce was stunning. We will definitely come back another time (dressed more appropriately!) to enjoy the complete experience.More
