Love coming to this restaurant. The staff are outstanding -especially Casey and Irene -and the good is terrific. The Peking duck entree is perfectly sized as is the roti channai chicken -perfect in every way. Easy to find, easy parking and lovely smiling service. We will return again and again.

So good. The chicken curry was amazing as were the Duck pancakes! Who needs to go to the city or Malaysia when you can have awesome food in the burbs. The menu has lots to choose from and I would love to go back to try some of the soups. Staff are really friendly and patient.

I think the prices here are quite expensive for what you get. Some of the dishes are fine, but others are a little tasteless and not what you'd expect for the price.

For those nostalgic with Malaysian cuisine, this restaurant provides a nice fresh decore compared to the downbeat traditional joints. Provides more walking rooms and caters for bigger groups. Pleasant place for gathering and celebrations.

Had an excellent night with friends at Straits Kitchen. The tasty, authentic Malaysian food was matched by the friendly and efficient staff. All of the food was very flavorsome with the Singapore chill praws the highlight by a whisker over a melt in the mouth Beef Rendang. Pinewood appears to be a real little foody suburban outpost well worth visiting... More

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. I had steamed chicken with rice, and sambals. Was just as good as when i have eaten it in Malaysia. Was very comfortable seating, and was very roomy and quiet. Will definably be back.

Last December (2015) we had to do a last-minute booking for dinner for 7 on a Saturday night. They were fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in. That's great customer service and how to win repeat customers! The staff were very polite and helpful, and the food was magnificent. We ordered quite a few different dishes, and they... More

First visit to this suburban restaurant surrounded by a range of other restaurant cuisines. Sharing plates between six, the best entree is the roti chicken rolls with a zesty peanut sauce, and by far the stand-out main was melt-in-the-mouth beef rendang. Not sharing this one again! :) Tamarind prawns was sadly lacklustre, direct opposite to the menu description. Massive prawns... More

So one may walk into the place expecting some amazing Malasian Food, only to get highly disappointed. Don't judge Malasian food basis your experience at this place cause it genuinely is good at other places. Apart from the food, the service is also below average. Highly recommend against it. The picture: tried adding as much Sambal as possible to bring... More
