Genuine French restaurant on the Mountain

A little bit of France tucked away on Tamborine Mountain. Authentic food - the crepes are very good - French champagne. The highlight would be the desserts - excellent pastry chef no doubt. Check out the gallery downstairs in November 2015 for fine oil paintings.

This establishment displayed the typical "they are tourists and won't return anyway" attitude. Overpriced ($5.80 for an overly sweet Chai Latte), an "Assorted Platter" consisting of 3 small pieces of bread and a few slices of Salami for $15. We were 4 adults also attempting to share a Cheese Platter, common sense and a desire for professional service would allow... More

Thank you for your review. I am glad you wrote this as I knew you would from the moment you came through the door. You did complain about the size of the assorted plate which is sized for 2 people. The correct and normal thing to do is if you want more food is to order in accord with the... More

Second visit for us and we were as impressed as we were the first time. We are French and sitting at Isabelle's table reminds us of the family Sunday lunches back home. The food is amazing, made from scratch and the view from the terrace is great. Make sure you try the mains like the Boeuf Bourguignon ! Definitely a... More

My partner and I decided to take the trip on a saturday lunchtime to try out the crepes at this restaurant which had received good reviews and I was excited by the prospect of trying some authentic food! Firstly, we did not get served for atleast 10 minutes and it was only because I went up and asked to order... More

we ordered coffee and scones and were advised we could not pay until we were leaving. On departure we tried to pay with cash only to be advised she did not have cash so we would have to use our Card. As we were tourists we did not have an eftpos card and only had cash on us. She quite... More

Not particularly looking for French cuisine - we were drawn in by the 'best scones' and 'art gallery' signage. Ordered a 'devonshire tea' (with a coffee) and two cups of hot chocolate. Scones with jam & cream arrived at the table, and the first of the drinks arrived almost 10 minutes later. I wonder how hard it can be for... More

I took my wife there for her birthday and we were trying this place for the first time. We were not disappointed! In a quiet secluded environment, we savoured some traditional french courses including various crepes (a magnificent "Poire Belle Hélêne" dessert), a scrumptious boeuf bourguignon (with a secret beef piece that when cooked adequately literally melts in your mouth),... We were lured into La Ferme by the blackboard out the front offering fresh scones. In the event we tried onion tart, duck terrine and endive & bacon salad and had no room left for scones. We were delighted by the freshness and quality of our meals, and could not fault the personal service of Isabelle the owner/chef and her... More

Stopped on a Saturday lunchtime anticipating quality being a French premises. Seated ourselves and asked for menus and water. There was one big table of 8-10 ladies and a few other small tables. No one had food on the table. We ordered two crepes and a hot chocolate. We were told it would be half an hour wait for the... More
