A highly rewarding culinary experience in a very nice place in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood in Toluca. Well presented dishes, and a great collections of rara tequilas and mescals. Not to be missed if in Toluca, but need to book well in advance. They cultivate their own herbs and spices on the roof of the restaurant.

Went to Toluca to meet some customers, for a lunch meeting. And I have to confess that this was the best part of the whole trip. I really thought that it would be, like, 'yet-another-lunch-speak-bye' 1h30 meeting, but not this one. Amaranta caused me a good impression upon arrival. I needed to use the restroom and it was just perfectly... More

We recently ate breakfast here and enjoyed the attentive service, the smart looking dining room, and the delicious food. The juices were wonderful and included free refills. The bill for 2 came to about 500 pesos.

This family owned and operated restaurant does deserve to be in the top restaurants from Latin America. The awarded Chef, Pablo Salas, has specialized in typical Mexican State cuisine and has given his personal touch to his dishes. Everything is as we Mexican say "para chuparse los dedos" and come back on any possible occasion. You got me. Congratulations Chef... More

We had the degustation menu, which I recommend. The food here is absolutely delicious and the Mexican wines/beer were all tasty as well. The only shortcoming was the staff. The waiters were only talking to my boyfriend, even after I'd asked some questions to draw their attention. This bothered me quite a lot and is, in my opnion, not done.... More

Well prepared food in a modest environment, this family owned restaurant showcases local dishes, reinterpreted by chef Salas, and has become a favourite among local businessmen and politicians to showcase the states cuisine. Probably the only alternative to street food if one wants to try local dishes. The wine pairing suffers from the need to include the chefs brother as... More

During visit in Toluca, I found one of the best restaurant of Mexican modern cuisine. Taste was wonderful, and the atmosphere was like quite decent, modern, industrial. Good for dinner.

I will make it short since don't have to much time: it is the first restaurant in this city that are up to standars in presentation of food and truly a great attention in service although with one caviat, maybe because last month I had the opportunity to dine at Saison in San Francisco and at Maemo in Oslo. So... More
