What a total waste of space and time. Not only is it hard to find but also when you get down you need to hunt for someone to find that will take your drink orders. The waiter appears dimwitted and confused if you try and order more than 2 drinks let alone a combination that exceeds three varieties. Prices seem... More

Have been a member of Combe Grove for years and the Eden café has had its ups and downs, but had a terrible experience and embarrassing as I had guests up there (and was showing it off to them) for the afternoon. The service was so slow, waited about 40 minutes to get our simple food and when it eventually... More

Burnt cabbage. How can you burn cabbage? I think they used some kind of blow torch on it. But this sort of pretentiousness should not leave the overriding taste in my mouth as charcoal. The food was overall rather expensive for what is was, a single glass of wine was £5.75! Not celebratory stuff, just basic wine. However the waiter... More

We waited for over an hour for our food. We had ordered 2 burgers, 3 pizzas and a sandwich. The restaurant was very quiet so given our menu choices we didn't expect to wait more than 20 minutes or so. When the food arrived (served by friendly, efficient waiting staff) we were missing a pizza, this arrived 15 minutes later,... More

The chef had the night off the evening we ate here, so not sure who cooked but the food was a little tasteless and took ages to arrive. I had a Barnsley chop and my fiancee had the burger but it was all a little basic and tasteless. Great selection of wine though

We recently stayed at the coombe manor and decided to eat at the Eden brasserie the evening we arrived. We were all disappointed with our choices, my lamb burger was of dubious quality, the most edible thing were the chips and they were bog standard. I wouldn't mind but the meals and drinks are on the expensive side. As we... More
