It's had a complete makeover. Canal side pub, good honest food, a real hit with the locals; and many canal boat visitors in the summer.

Even before the revamp it was a special place but now it has that bit more maybe a lot more style, Great Food, Great Service, Great Location the view is a stretch of the Carnforth - Lancaster Canal, so if your near or far go to it, but for weekend & Fridays Book !!

Used to be cheap and cheerful pub grub but has attempted to go up-market with prices but not with decor and service or food. Very nice position overlooking canal.

Hi Keith Are you sure you have the right pub? We've just had a £250,000 pound refurb at the start of this year and you're the first and only person to claim the decor isn't vastly improved. As ever, I invite anyone to surf through our picture gallery here, if you go back far enough you see before and after,... More

Came to the Canal Turn due to the good reviews on Trip advisor, wish we hadn't of bothered. Massive deal around making bookings for eating in when they are right beside a canal which is obviously going to attract walk-ins. Services was terribly slow to the point we finished our drink and left as we hadn't had chance to order... More

Called here after we had been told by a friend via face book that it was definitely worth a visit. We did book just in case and were glad we had as it was very busy. The manager/landlord (not sure which) gave us a nice table, brought over the menu and explained that a few meals had sold out due... More

What fantastic service. We were a large party of both adults and children on a busy friday night and the staff could not do enough for us, even when my niece was poorly. Excellent service from all of the team, made a very nice birthday meal. Thank you all

Hi Simon I have to say, I don't think this is a fair review. You can not judge a place to 1 star on just tea and a pint. Yes, we serve in take-away cups for those who choose to sit outside; unfortunately too many of our handmade coffee cups and saucers have been taken away themselves so they're only... More
