A complete night with well balanced dishes. Main courses can also be ordered as tapas. But above all the service was the best of what we experienced in Laredo. Very very nice dinner!! Thanks!!!

Wow ! Recently I had a delightful dinner at the super Michelin Hedone in London but this small place in Laredo almost gives you the same pleasant food journey at a fraction of the price . The young chef is charming , knowledgeable and above all very enthusiastic . Food is creative and very good quality . Try as much... More

We had an outstanding meal here. The chef and waiter were charming and helpful. The chef even made a surprise non-shellfish variant portion of one of our shared hors-d'oeuvres because he overheard one of our party saying that he couldn't eat prawns. And he added extra chocolates to our shared desert plates so we could each try them. And yes we... More

Great little place. Interesting twist on the Spanish kitchen. Very friendly and attentive. Cheesecake out of this world.

Stopped here on the way from Bilbao to Santillana del Mer based on Trip Advisor recommendations. It most certainly lived up to expectations - yes a little pretentious, yes a little expensive compared to the rest of the town but still cheap compared to high end restaurants in London which is the level of service and food that you get.... It is a very neat little place with very nice staff, vegetarian and vegan friendly too! I highly encourage to ask the chef to bedazzle you! On that note, it is pretentious friendly too...

Northern Spain/Basque Country is a bar snackers delight, a pintxo here and a tapa there, but if you ever find yourself in Laredo then Somera is a must. The food is not the usual fare, rather an imaginative take on standard tapa and a fusion of styles from around the globe. The chicken dumplings with picante sauce a particular favourite.... More

We tried this tapas restaurant given the reviews read here. Unfortunately, we found it simply pretentious and expensive. It may be the best that Laredo has to offer but it didn't compare well with the many others we dined at on our holiday in this region of Spain.

I really like places which are detail oriented. Somera is definitely one of them. We had there some pinchos, hamburger, tuna and amazing desserts. One thing which was common for this dishes was care of details. The texture and flavor of each course were planned and made them an unforgettable experience. I have to say that croquettes were the best... More
