A great place to savour above all, classic Asturian dishes in a more modern way. We've been here for their famous fabada but this time we had the Classic Menu with various plates - very good! Priced at 66€ it comes with a several starters, 2 fish dishes, meat, fabada, desserts. We loved it! Great place, refined ambience yet not... More

Great service and great food. Always making sure that tradition and modernity go togheter. Very good starters, spectacular fish and great "fabada", I love this place

I have been on a Saturday at Casa Gerardo for family lunch. I live in Madrid but I know Casa Gerardo for ever. This time I have to say that we were deceived by the meals, especially about quantity. I personally had tuna as second meal and I had 3 little rolls. The first and second meals were very little... More

Casa Gerardo is an institution frequented by illustrious customers that are known to include the former king of Spain. Such a place can of course be a disappointment with stuffy or arrogant service and a kitchen that is resting on its laurels. Not so a Casa Gerardo where the experience was excellent from beginning to end. We started with really... More

I booked here for a last meal together with my wife at the end of our 3 week holidays as looking for something special. heard this has a Michelin star & so we had to go for the 15 course tasting menu. The doors were closed until a couple of moments before 9.00pm which was the earliest booking & we... More

Casa Gerardo is located right on a secondary road and we stopped there during a day-long trip. The setting is quite nice and has been renovated keeping some original flavour. In this occasion we chose the Classic Menu, which contains very traditional dishes. In spite of being the cheapest menu, the quantity of food is quite large. Some of the... More

A solid restaurant, everything we had was very good, in particular the fresh peas with ham that were a special of the day and the complimentary introductory dishes. The deserts of pineapple and ginger and the rice pudding were both quite good as were the main dishes of cochinillo and merluza. We were somewhat disappointed by the fabada which is... More

This restaurant is only one of a few select places in Asturias to have a Michelin star, and from the entrance itself you it is clear you are in a fine dining experience. You're greater by bottles of Cristal, Krug and Dom Perignon suitably chilled before being taken through to the dining area, hosting approximately 15 tables. Service is good... More

In our family reunion to Gijon, visiting the cradle of our grandfather, our taxi driver asked if we had been to Asturias before, I said, yes of course, and he answered have you been to Casa Gerardo? No, I responded, then he said "if you have not been to Casa Gerardo you have not been in Asturias". The next response... More

Definitely worth a detour ... maybe not quite a trip. The few "blah" items (aceituna, fino, cabezera de cerdo Joselito) were completely overwhelmed by the impressive ones: sardine and pickled cucumber, turnip-cum-ceviche, lubina "in green" ... and fabada) The two chef-owners (4th and 5th generation of the Casa Gerardo clan) were a welcome, repeated presencein the dining room complementing the...
