This guy has developed a skill for pushing average food and drink for inflated prices . For example , his €15 wine would grace the bottom shelf at a discount supermarket .He raises the expectation level for the food when the reality is it is average . Avoid this joker and his restaurant . Mucho ruedo y pocas nueces!

Duque was recommended for lunch and rightly so. I couldn't quite believe the fixed menu - 3 courses for 3.7euros!! Anyway i gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised - vegetable soup, followed by a schnitzel and then chocolate mousse. All very nicely cooked, presented and served - all very tasty!! Remarkable value!! The two of us ate a... More

We had our last meal out of the holiday here. Nicely busy on a Thursday night., the owner was funny and chatty. The food was generous and tasty. The steak was served with a tasty dressing. The creme brulee was also very nice. A great holiday restaurant.

After coming across this restaurant earlier in the week whilst out walking we thought it seemed like a very authentic and charming place to eat and so made a reservation for Sunday lunch. The food is authentic good portuguese cooking with quality ingredients, the entrantes included some of the tastiest olive oil I've tried, warm bread, portuguese soft cheese, chorizo... More

My wife & I went to The Duke on our last night in Caminha. We were really looking forward to an evening of good local food cooked to perfection...How wrong we were. The owner, apparently trained in Belgium in the art of ''restauration'' was more of a clown than a restauranteur. The food was slow too come, expensive & very... More
