Come and taste the Tuscan cuisine at Bottega Torciano! Bottega Torciano is located in Poggibonsi, a few minutes from San Gimignano where you can taste excellent grilled meat, fresh pasta made by us and wines of our company. Let yourself be pampered by our appetizers, with the best Tuscan cold cuts and cheeses. First courses include pasta with traditional or wild boar ragu, the classic ribollita soup and pappa al pomodoro. In addition to the seasonal menu, ask the staff to recommend the dishes of the day! During the truffle season, you can enjoy dishes based on the truffles we collect in our estate. You can choose to accompany your lunch or dinner with a glass of wine or a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico or Vernaccia di San Gimignano, all of our own production, which you can also buy at the restaurant. Finally you can delight yourself with one of our desserts, always made by us. We are waiting for you at Bottega Torciano!

Extremely quality wines and very good dishes

On the trip from Siena to San Gimignano we stopped in Poggibonsi for lunch. We opted for the Bottega Torciano restaurant, and we weren’t fooled. It was an extremely good choice. A magical place with a nice atmosphere that brightened our day. Typical Tuscan dishes are served ( Tagliere di salumi e formaggi - Plate of tuscan salami and cheeses, Lasagna al ragù-lasagna with meat sauce, Filetto di maiale con riduzione al Chianti Classico-pork fillet with Chianti Classico reduction), accompanied by fine wines. Everything was extremely tasty, all praise to the chef. Everything is very neat and the service is extremely high quality. Great Experience.

dinner and wine tasting and 2 night stay

We stayed 2 nights at vecchio asilo and also had wine tasting and dinner at Bottega Torciano. WE had been to this small hotel on previous visit and love it . The views of the nearby hills of grapes are incredible. Our dinner was excellent with most generous amount of wine to accompany our different courses. The value was just excellent and our host very knowledgeable about the area and the wines we were tasting. I can recommend this experience while in Tuscany,

Best meal in Italy

My husband was in Italy for 6 months and this was hands down the best meal he ate. The food was amazing. The waiters were very helpful in picking out what we wanted. Service in general was great. The restaurant itself was very pretty. We also stayed at the Torciano Bed and Breakfast which was amazing as well.

A super fresh and well executed diner

Just a fantastic meal. You can tell and taste that everything is hand made and ultra fresh. The wine. Oh the wine ! Sublime ! The parpadelle with Duck Ragu. Tomatoes with Buffala cheese and the Carpaccio. Just phenomenal.

We had our best meal at this restaurant while travelling Italy during our two week vacation. The resto is frequented by businessmen, but it is a nice restaurant all round. They also sell wines, grappa and olive oils. We shared a plate of Pappardelle al Cinghiale and a Controfiletto di Manzo alla Griglia. Prices we reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Disaster don't come

I spent 12 years in Italy, have visited all 50 states and just as many countries, and would say our meals and experience at the Bottega and the Tornuta are at, or near, the top of our all-time list! I really can't say enough GREAT things about the venue and especially the staff...not to mention the food and wine!

Fantastic experience

We, a group of friends on holiday in Tuscany, enjoyed a 'light lunch' with wine and olive tasting hosted by the highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable Donato. The lunch was much more generous than we expected (given the very reasonable price) and there was a really interesting range of impressive wines to taste alongside. I would highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.

Wine Tasting

We dropped in as we wanted to try out some local Tuscan wines having visited the lovely town of San Gimignano. We were warmly greeted and went for the appetiser menu consisting of 3 wines (1 white and 2 red) with assorted meats and cheese to accompany the wine. They have different menus with more food and up to tastings of 10 wines! All the wines were local to the area and tasted superb. We were led through the tasting, shown how to get the most flavour from each wine and were left the bottles to sample a little more of the wines we liked! A fabulous experience

Cooking class

Our travel agent booked this cooking class for us. We were picked up from Siena city center then a shuttle brought us to the cooking class. We had the opportunity to make bruschetta, pasta, plus assist in cutting pork. At the end of the class you get to eat everything you made plus it is paired with a wine tasting. So much fun. Would recommend for anyone!

We read about the great reviews and decided to stop by the restaurant to try it out. The best experience we have ever had in the two weeks we were in Italy! The food was delicious and Mario was exceptional personable and friendly. We loved everything - the beautiful restaurant, the food, the wine and the great service! Thank you, Mario!

A Great Experience!

We were booked for this cooking class through Mario Fortini of Bellarome Travel Agency so we had no idea what to expect. Mario did a great job because this was awesome! We had a very nice ride through Tuscany to get here. The staff was fun and friendly. We made home made fettuccini, Bolognese sauce, rosemary pork loin and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was wonderful, some of the very best food I had in Italy. All the time we were cooking, we sampled wine (may be why the food tasted so good!) We had an excellent wine tasting that was informative and included some very good wine. Overall, this was a great day, I'll definitely make the recipes we prepared here because they were so simple and I look forward to enjoying the wine we ordered from them.

So much fun!

A friend and I took a trip to Italy and wanted a cooking class. After doing some research, we decided on Torciano while we were visiting Tuscany. Such a great idea. One of the best parts of our trip! We loved the family and the atmosphere. We were greeted with glasses of wine and smiles. Note: the bottega and the vineyard are in two different locations in the area. We went to the vineyard first and one of the uncles was more than happy to take us where we needed to be. He actually stayed with us for out entire class to help translate. This class was so worth it! We took the afternoon cooking class + a tasting, which started at 3:30PM. We had such a good class and tasting that we stayed until about 8 - just very comfortable, with delicious wine and the pasta that we made. In our class, which ended up being just the two of us, we made fettuccini, gnocchi and ricotta/spinach raviolis. The portions of pasta are big so come hungry! Only thing missing was music - we would've loved to have had some tunes to jam to while making pasta. We walked away with bottles of oil and wine and dry/fresh pasta and great memories. We will definitely come here during our next trek through Italy!
