By recommendation we visited this restaurant one night in Pienza. A very small and crowded place - with a very busy owner. The food was excellent and as expected with some good wines in glasses to follow. After the service had been done in the restaurant, the owner had more time to talk and be the host he wanted to... Having been here before, I was keen to visit with my partner. It did not disappoint. The food was indeed fabulous, a terrific wine list - friendly and helpful service / once again it did not disappoint. The owner who also cooks the food is clearly proud of his restaurant - don't want to tell too many people or I... More

In five days we had lunch here 4 times. Great food. Friendly owner. It is a tiny place that doesn't close in the afternoon which is why we orginally went. Most places in the area close after lunch and we arrived after lunch from Florence: very hungry. We returned again and again because the food was so good.

We ate a lot of very good bruschetta throughout Tuscany, but the very best we had was served at La Buca di Enea. The tomatoes were just bursting with flavor. All other items were excellent too. Definitely a must visit restaurant in Pienza.

We stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant is tiny but it was excellent. The bruschetta was so fresh and tasty. I had delicious grilled vegetables. My husband enjoyed pasta with duck. Highly recommend

This is a great tiny restaurant. When I say tiny, I mean five tables. You will need a reservation, for sure. It is run by one person who does it all. He greets you, seats you takes your order and goes back in the kitchen and makes your food! And that food was just so, so very good! I had... More

My family, having driven through the heart of Tuscany, visited this place at around 8:30. We ordered the traditional Tuscan pasta, duck meat pasta, and lasagne. Everything was prepared in an instant and was set before us. Through the food, the essence of Tuscany could be felt, while the comforting home cooked food warmed the stomach. Overall, this was a... We spent a day in Pienza and a highlight was lunch at La Buca di Enea. We had the special cheese platter with a bottle of wine, and everything was delicious.

Tiny little restaurant tucked away on a side street, but well worth the visit. Fabulous food and wine and the owner treats you to a bottle of Limoncello at the end of your meal. When we returned the following day, we received a bottle of Grappa, as well as Limoncello! By our third visit, we ordered two glasses of Brunello... More
