Charming taverna in a backstreet, a few nice tables outside, extremeky friendly, serviceminded and devoted servers. The perfect lunch...Pecorino, crostini, ham, salami and sausages. Good recommendations for wine and beer suitable for the dishes. Look no further....enjoy !

We've been fortunate enough to eat here a couple of times - enjoying the selections of pecorino, jams, breads and wine. It makes for a perfect get away while visiting the beautiful town of Pienza. For non- Italian speakers like us, the proprietors speak good enough english to provide an excellent experience to go along with the excellent food. We... More

We're looking for a place to have a glass of wine in the afternoon and were surprised with this lovely and small place, with excellent service, nice wine and delicious cheese table (Pienza is a well known pecorino cheese producer). We recommend it!

We sought out this wine bar after reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The wines and beers were absolutley lovely and you could tell they had been chosen by the Owners with care and passion. The Owners themselves were some of the loveliest people we met in Italy. Can't wait to get back to Pienza... More

After a busy day of driving through Tuscany then stopping in Pienza, we came across La Taverna di Re Artu before heading out for dinner. We could not have asked for a better evening. Great wine and beer, fantastic service and lovely owners. If you are in Pienza please stop here to unwind and relax.

Tiny and hidden in a small street - one could hardly imagine a smaller streeet in such a small town but still. Wine was great, we sat outside, but the inside was also very cosy.

On a biking trek, we stopped here for lunch and it was a meal and experience I won't forget. There is a lot of delicious food in Tuscany, but this spot epitomizes the small town hospitality and traditional cuisine of this region. Everything we had was delightful.

An unpretentious taverna with great cheese, ham and wine. Nice atmosphere, great service. Fantastic place for lunch. We wished we had time to eat there more. Highly recommended.

An small place with interesting suggestions of antipasti for harmonizing cheese and wine. The owners are attentive.

Stopped for an early evening drink here and was so impressed with the hospitality. My husband had the Principessi beer, which had a lovely flavour, and I wanted to try a local white wine. The owner helpfully explained the characteristics of each and the one I chose was delicious and perfectly chilled.
