It has plenty of choices about meat. I didn't like the fact that our oven potato was pre-cooked as well as the fried potatoes. Our dishes (pork with racki and chicken) were nice but not something special. Some local people told us that they are famous for the ribs but we didn't order them.....

The Cape Crocodile provided quality value fare at its restaurant and easily accommodated our 8 person party. The food was cooked well with many more beef and meat dishes on the menu than most Cretan restaurants.

I went here with 8 friends. The food was fine, not too expensive. The dining carte was a lot like that of the other greek restaurants in Paleochora. Nothing special.

This place is a meat restaurant for all you meat lovers. If you hesitate between methexi and Crocodile you to choose crocodile every time. Here you feel welcome, the service is friendly and professional. The lamb is excellent and the house white wine is really good.

Food was very salty and dishes were huge, we couldn't eat all. Lots of compulsory dishes (bread, raki, dessert), but I feel uncomfortable when these are carried to your table without any mention about price. Luckily only water was added to check. Food came extremely quickly (under 10min) but it was slow progress to get out of the restaurant (about... More

This restaurant reviewed well so we decided to try it,in June when we were there..The pork ribs were mentioned in trip advisor as a speciality and a generous portion was served....but they were tough!.I asked how they were cooked and was told they were grilled, but they needed a longer slower cooking to make them tender....The Restaurant is in a lovely... We were heading for another taverna when we stumbled across Cape Crocodile. So glad that we did. We were lured in with a warm smile from Giorgos but with no hard sell. You get real Greek food here but with some interesting, imaginative twists. We returned the following night. The meat is exceptional quality and they really know how to... More

My elderly mother-in-law loved the house speciality which is ribs and spicy chicken wings atop of sliced potatoes. A free filo pastry was offered (as well as the compulsory Raki) at the end of the meal. The dish is not subtle but is very yum and decent value. It fed the 3 of us.

We really enjoyed eating in Cape Crocodile as we were staying in the lovely Harbour Appartments above the taverna. Try the ham and cheese omelette for breakfast - my husband 'had' to have one most days ! Great place for lunch overlooking the harbour, during our stay the waves were quite wild when the weather wasn't so good. It was... More
