Really enjoyed our meal at the Third Eye, the service was very very slow though. I'm used to waiting in Greek restaurants but this was a bit too long. We'd come for a late breakfast/brunch but had been a challenge with staffing so we had to have the lunch instead. The food was well presented and very tasty.

This restaurant is situated close to the sandy beach of Paleochora on the Southern coast of Crete. Their entré with 6 different "dips / spreads" was great, with interesting flavours. My main course, an Indian dish (Jalfreze) was however a disappointment, as it was dry and too spicy to taste anything but the chilly (and I love chily). It was... More

If you combine an international (Indian, Indonesian, Greek etc) vegetarian cuisine, Greek owners, an exceptional New Zealand cook, a half English-half Greek kind waiter, fine raw materials, a relaxing and cosy environment, Cretan hospitality and a lot of "meraki" the result is explosive! Visit this small vegetarian tavern even if you are not a vegetarian-vegan (as ourselves)!

I ate here quite often duriing my stay in paleochora and was never disappointed. The food is very tasty, you can always choose small portions if you are not too hungry or want to try several dishes and the menue changes daily. The salads, dips, main dishes and deserts I tried all deserve 5 stars. The service is great too,... More

it was nice to have a change to the local dishes on offer but you need to get here early as the daily specials run out quickly. Food was good with nice flavours - my Thai Green curry was a bit too hot so i couldn't finish it but it was nicely done. Service was a bit rushed - we... More

It was a novelty to be able to eat at a vegetarian restaurant whilst in Greece. Unfortunetely the first night we wanted to eat, they were closed. When we made it, the food was delicious. The setting is lush with vines and lanterns. The only downside was that the waiter appeared to forget us after we had eaten and so... More

The Third Eye has a very interesting menu and the portions are quite big. The lechmatzoun was very tasty. Eastern influences, though the vegetable curry I ordered was not what I expected. I expected the curry in a bowl with red sauce and the rice on the side but the rice was served like a vegetable risotto instead.

Honestly this is one of my favourite restaurants in the world. All food is vegetarian and some vegan so it was ideal for me as I'm a vegetarian. The quality of the food is excellent and there is a different menu everyday. Don't be put off by the different menu everyday as there is a variety of dishes and I'm... More

This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've visited anywhere. The food is beautifully prepared and there are clear European and Eastern influences. The portions are generous. The service is friendly and the ambience is relaxed attracting tourists and locals alike. Highly recommended.
