Service is very slow and only acting up on request. The four of us ordered different meals and we ended up eating pretty much one after the other and for a simple lunch we spent 1.5 hours. First they brought the kids meal but only...when he was close to finish, I finally got my starter soup. When I finished the soup we asked when the others would finally get their main courses with the answer that we should have told them how we wanted the order of the dishes. They then brought the mussels for my wife and after 10 minutes the steak for the other son and my main course (salmon with cold rice and cold vegetables on a cold plate). I tried to order the included desserts of my and the kids menus earlier to avoid another waiting time, but finally again we had to wait long time. At least there was free WiFi - but better is not to waste time here for a unspectacular lunch.More

Seafood is their major focus. Many diners were having large seafood platters but we opted for smaller portion meals. The fish was excellent. Restaurant is small and thus is noisy. A reservation is suggested.

We hadn't booked and asked if we could wait until someone left, so we sat outside on the small terrace on the street with a bottle of Rose, and as it was quite cold we were offered rugs, which were most welcome! We were ushered...in at about 9.00 and ordered Foie Gras de canard followed by Lottes and Saint Pierre, both were absolutely delicious and all washed down with a bottle of Sancerre, a perfect evening!More

A quiet June evening in Port-en-bessin and we tried this restaurant without a reservation. We ate upstairs and had an efficient server who was patient with our many questions and lack of French. Two tried pre-fixe 3 courses and a third our son another meat...eater which meant another version of beef filet (like everywhere else it seems in France). I had the menu mareyeur with way to many mussels as a starter, then planche de rouget (tasty white fish and a caramel au beure (great for apple lovers). My husband selected the menu du decheur with assiette saumon fume maison flilet de Saint Pierre and a panna cotta caramel et fruits rouges. Had a half bottle of Loire Valley Chardonnay. This was a good choice for us. One soon finds that many of the local restaurants have similar menu choices.More
