Pleasant meal looking over the port. Food was fine, staff were attentive and it was a busy evening as there was going to be a firework show later. My only complaint was one got 3 balls of ice cream for one serving; 3 of us wanted just 2 balls each (6 balls) but they charged us for 3 full servings... More

We got in late, restaurant was almost full but waiter put together two tablea to create space for the three of us. Menu of € 24,50 offers a nice variety and we all enjoyed our food. Good service, with a sense of humor. Nice location at the harbour. Thanks, we had a lovely evening!

We arrived late on a midweek evening in June, having failed to get a seat in another restaurant. La Marie du Port had only two tables of diners and plenty of empty places and I was apprehensive that we would have to make the best of the only option available. Thankfully, my misgivings proved to be entirely unwarranted. We ordered... More

6 of us enjoyed an evening meal and we were impressed by the quality of the food and the choice of menu. One diner on the 24, 50 menu felt that the quality of the steak was poor and all of us agreed that although the wine was excellent there could have been a couple of cheaper options. The staff... As we cycled past we saw a HUGE plate of seafood and we had to come back and have one. Other guys had pasta which they loved as well.

Having just spent 3 weeks in rural France where eating out is very cheap and delightful , we had become used to high quality food . The 24 Euro menu here looked very good value compared to its more popular and more expensive neighbours on the sea front . Starters were average , but the main courses and sweets across... More

We tried this restaurant for dinner, we had no previous knowledge so it was pot-luck. There was a selection of fixed price menus and we chose the four course/32 euro menu. Excellent selection, we had the plate of 12 oysters and the trout starter, followed by the escalope and the scallops, then a cheese course, and dessert - profiteroles and... More

Had dinner at this restaurant during our stay at Quai Port- en- Bessin last week. Found the service poor, not enough staff. The food was in our opinion below par compared to other restaurants and expensive, as were the drinks.

Decided at the last moment to go for lunch instead of dinner. The restaurant was one of just a couple open. We both went for the 23.50 Euro menu and were not disappointed. The fish soup was one of the best my wife has tasted, and her main dish of red mullet was a new experience, but one she will... More
