What a total gem! We came here as part of the 'dine around' menu and had the set menu. Our waitress was fabulous, so professional that she wouldn't be out of place in silver service. The food was tasty, fresh and we all loved the...Croatian wine. The view was outstanding. Love this place and you must try it if you're staying on the island.More

Dinner for two as part of the "dine around" offer. Food: we had salad, pasta and fish. Portions were big. Pasta was bland, the side garnish for the main meal was drowned in garlic. Price: was free as part of dine around. Looking at the...menu, prices are high for what you get. Service: seemed rushed even though the place was almost empty. Atmosphere/Location: nice view over the sea and harbor, space terrace with nice lighting.More

This is a nice place with a view that is hard to beat. Food is ok but nothing spectacular and the service is a bit ordinary. Not bad or rude just that they seem to struggle a bit with the fundamentals of table service, polite...and friendly yes, but their experience maybe is what's lacking. Food was ok but the menu is a bit convoluted and the dishes themselves are a bit plain ( pork cutlets and french fries, no salad), bit average for an "upmarket " restaurant. 👍🏼👍🏼More

Excellent service and the salad was very good. The view is magnificent. I arrived at 10pm so my review is based on an experience in the dark. Try and find out. By day though and sunrise from here is special. Well if you wake up...at 5am all the time ☺ If you are staying in Veli get up and out at 5.30am. You will feel brilliant.More

Location wise this restaurant is fab - it's part of the Punta hotel chain and sits on the top of the hill, overlooking the cove and the village. Very pretty. However, we were the ONLY people in the whole restaurant. It completely lacked any atmosphere...and we soon realised why no one else came here. The 'special Losinj fish soup' was like fish stock with some tuna (dry and tough) floating in it. Not appetising. The bread turned up after we'd finished it and the mains were laughable. Stuffed chicken thighs were 2 chicken breasts with plastic cheese and processed ham in the middle and the meatballs were just that - balls of mince, minimal flavouring or interest. both came with some random raw onion on the side. The main issue we had with this restaurant was the wine - we ordered 2 glasses of wine from the 'wine by the glass' list. We were then charged for 4 glasses. Turns out that their 'wine by the glass' is actually only a half glass so when you order that they give you 2 'glasses' to make it a proper glass and charge you twice. We weren't happy about this (as this also made the wine very overpriced compared to other local prices) and the waiter just didn't care. We had no choice but to pay this bill. We complained about this to the hotel when we returned (as this restaurant is a part of the wider Hotel Punta Vitality) and the manager on the reception refunded this for us as she agreed that it was not right and we should have at least been asked about this first. Also it turns out that if you eat there you're supposed to get a voucher from the hotel - again no one had told us this even though we'd informed the hotel we were going there. Overall, the meal was unappetising and disappointing and the waiter's blasé attitude didn't help. Worth walking past for the view though - just keep walking to the better, cheaper, friendlier restaurants in the village.More

This is the most upmarket dining spot in Veli Lisinj, with nice views over the harbour if you are able to get a table in the first row outside. It is in the same ownership as the Punta Hotel but these days only loosely associated...with it. I know you don't go to Croatia for the food and none that we had during our holiday was worth writing home about. But this place fell way below standard in terms of both food and service. The menu comprises fairly nondescript meat and fish plainly grilled short-order style. I had the local equivalent of Kofte (minced meat) which was ok if quite bland. My wife ordered a rib-eye steak cooked medium. It was definitely not rib-eye- charitably could have been rump but my wife thought some other animal altogether. It was served rare at the first attempt so we asked for it to be grilled a bit longer. It returned only 3 minutes later with the type of homogenised consistency which one usually associates with the microwave but, more importantly so incredibly salty throughout that it was completely inedible. Servicewise, there was a brief shower of rain, whichmeant we and the other diners had to move indoors. After collecting the chair cushions from the terrace, the service stopped completely and the staff disappeared; to the extent that eventually we had to abandon the idea of dessert and I had to go into the kitchen to find someone to bring us the bill. So, in short, I wouldn't recommend.More

We have stayed for two weeks in hotel Punta, which is just next door to the restaurant so we have visited it several times for lunch. The terrace offers great view over town of Veli Losinj, but during a hot day it is possible to...find more share inside. The service is attentive a not pushy. The cuisine is typical Croatian, there is an outside grill. They do very good pljeskavica (minced meat) on the grill.More

Nice place to have lunch as it was hot and windy. We had a nice seat, with a great view and sweet breeze to cool off from the heat. For lunch we ordered a Croatian hamburger and Risotto, both very good. Only one server and...he wasn't the quickest one.More

We ate at the Punta Restaurant most lunchtimes as we were full board. It was a very good 4 course meal in a beautiful location and very friendly and helpful staff. We also enjoyed an evening meal and even though it was busier the staff...kept their cool and were just as helpful and the food was very good!More
