We had chicken and fish dishes. Both were done properly and came with abundant vegetables. The cas (a drink) was very good, and when I'm in CR, I want my cas, as it's nowhere to be found in the US.

This felt like genuine Costa Rican cuisine, not justfor tourists (which I was). Good honest food and a wonderful waitress who tried really, really hard to understand me!

This restaurant, located centrally, next to other souvenir shops etc. is a great gem of a restaurant. Food was fresh and good portions served. The fresh watermelon juice, the veggie burger, the salad, local dishes and everything we ordered were very fresh and tasty. For vegetarians, they had several options, not just gallo pinto :) Good service, the owner speaks... More

We were looking for good food, not too expensive and this is the best value we found during our trip in Costa Rica.

I lived in Monteverde for a while and tried most of the restaurants in Santa Elena. Tico y Rico is, by far, the best food for the best price. It is typical Costa Rican food, and some of my favorites there include their quesadillas, arroz con pollo, y batidos naturales. It is located on the main street in Santa Elena,... More

We arrived at about 7:15 pm and the place was nearly empty and I though twice about leaving. After we place our order (mixed salads, nacho, and cascades) the place started to fill up and ended up being packed when we left. The salads were fresh and plentiful. Nachos and cascades were also very good. The young man that waited... More

Mostly stopped in while in town for cervesa and a snack. Always friendly - ceviche was typical (good) but not exceptional. Tortillas with salsa and guacamole probably a better choice. Nice mix of locals and visitors. This review posted using their free wifi.
