Fantastic staff and one of the best ham/cheese sandwich in Costa Rica!!! We did a night tour and were so exhausted/hungry....nothing seemed to be open until we saw this beacon of hope! What a great surprise....ate there several times.

The vegetarian casada was excellent! Large portions! I will go again before I leave! The atmosphere was relaxed and casual.

Had a great meal here and lovely staff. Extensive menu but we went with a delicious chicken fajita and a huge yummy veggie fajita - has more vegetarian options than most places also.

I liked this place because it offered good food and a wide variety of dishes (local cuisine) at affordable prices. I also liked the service. Recommended for travelers who want to try local dishes

They were quite good with a few very simple vegetarian options. I recommend the veggie quesadilla as it was filled with more veggies than cheese.

Great steaks and food but a weird atmosphere and long wait for food. Would recommend for authentic taste anytime though.

I can't think of anything to say about this place other than it is a typically ordinary tourist eating place. When we left we weren't hungry, but I honestly cannot remember what we had. I felt that even though it wasn't very expensive, I hadn't really got value for money. service is desultory, but normal in this sort of place.

Our driver recommended Tico y Rico when we arrived into town. Glad he did! Very unassuming restaurant, but great menu. In addition to local fare, the menu had a little bit of everything from steaks and pasta to kids food and seafood. The cook, who also took our orders and ran our bills, did a great job.
