Had an opportunity to eat here 2x on our most recent visit to the Tambor area. Cafe Christina delivered authentic food at reasonable pricing. Having limited Spanish didn't matter as the waiter was more than patient in helping us select items from the menu. Not incredibly varied fare but tasty and fresh. From the shrimp and rice to chicken and... More

Great way to avoid airport food - fresh ingredients and welcoming atmosphere. Grab that last bit of Costa Rican beans & rice for the trip home

A great place to stop on the way to and from the airport. Some if the tastiest food we had here in CR, able to accommodate our various dietary restrictions, and the pleasant owner speaks english. Great family restaurant for everyone!

Not that it was the food was bad but we were served 3 fishes coming directly from the freezer. I would expect to be told at the beginning that it was not a fish of the day. Friendly people otherwise.

With a friendly family running this quaint little restaurant, we felt right at home eating here. They made accommodations for our vegetarian family, and their daughter hung out with our kids... running around, coloring and playing Uno. Delicious smoothies and dinner made this a lovely evening out!

We visited Cristina's twice during our visit, once for lunch and once for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. The red snapper special was cooked perfectly. Great little place across from the Catholic Church.

The family that runs this place is very friendly and the food and wifi are good. Casados are 3500 and fresh fruit batidos are 1000 - 1500 colones. Comfortable terrace with shade. A two minute walk to the beach. Eduardo senior is often happy to engage you in a friendly conversation. Efficient but not rushed service. They often have fresh... More

Stayed at Tangor Mar and went to Cristina's for a change. There were five adults in our party and we each ordered something different. Everyone was very pleased with their meal, service and the atmosphere. In fact, we are going back there tonight for Christmas dinner. The food was special but without pretense. It tasted fresh with an obvious bent... More
