Don't come here if you need wifi, the owner no longer provides it. The vibe is not very welcoming, the owner seems pretty cold in their approach to running a business. Probably rethink what it means to run a western style cafe in a tourist...area if you'd like to have a successful business. The coffee was good but I wouldn't come back due to this.More

We had quesadilla and coffee at Kat’s Coffee. It has a beautiful ambiance and what we had were so delicious. Coffee was one of the best of Unawatuna.

Delicious cappuccino, great atmosphere! One of the best taste, and we search a lot in Sri-Lanka. Definitely must-try point on the path of coffeelovers!

Since it is pretty hard finding a good coffee and yummy cakes I was so happy to find Kats Coffee in the end. Even if I had already some really good coffee in this area, Kats is by far the best with a well tempered...brew from Sri Lankas best coffee beans and selfmade great cakes and sandwiches. By the way, I really adore the quesadilla they prepare. Absolutely five stars.More

I was asking by the OWNER to leave... very “polite” and thoughtful for business 😂 I took cappuccino and use my mobile data to work on my laptop, because that place doesn’t have WiFi. After 3 hours I was informed that I couldn’t stay more...time if I don’t order something else, but I was not hungry and already got my caffein dose)))) At that moment in the cafe only 3 tables were busy.. The owner said “I use the service.. such as air condition 😳 OMG! I hope i didn’t make a huge demage to your business using the air)))))) BTW coffee is good, that’s why I came) For now I realize I couldn’t come here anymore, I am not welcome, and I couldn’t recommend it.More

Dear Lana, you said yourself that you were at our cafe for 3 hours with one cup of coffee. You had your own cup of something on the table too, and we don't really appreciate people bringing their own food and drinks to our place....More

I loved this place. It was a fifteen minute walk from my hotel but worth the walk in the heat for a good americano. The owner is adorable as are the staff. It's a really cute, cosy and very clean cafe. She takes pride in...the coffee shop and I love supporting places like this. I had the pleasure of speaking to Kat who left her home country to set up this cafe and fulfilled her dream. Well done! They have a good selection of coffees, teas and other items. There were cakes on the counter as well but I was not that hungry. They looked appealing. I am not sure if they do other food but there was another table near me that appeared to be eating a meal. It was relatively quiet but I loved the time to read and relax. They don't have wifi which is maybe a good thing! I could have sat for hours. I am very particular with my coffee and this was a good americano. Yes, by Sri Lankan standards it is more expensive but not by Western standards and it was certainly worth it. I loved the minimal decor and cosy feel. It's located on the main road. Lonely planet list it as a nightlife place but this is a cafe that closes by 17:30 or 18:00 (I can't remember). Kat if your reading this, I am the girl from London who sat at the table by the window.More

Lovely lunch at this cute little place. The staff were very pleasant and we really enjoyed our ice coffee and yummy quesadillas. We also loved having a cuddle with the friendly little kitty as we miss ours terribly when we're away!
