We landed at The Rock after a packed morning of swimming with dolphins and snorkeling. We were famished! Since it was off season the restaurant wasn’t very crowded and had a great, laid back vibe. We ordered the catch of the day, fish fingers, pasta,...More

Wow what a location! So beautiful! We had dinner there and the setting was stunning. We had a drink before dinner on the terrace while it was still bright and then we ate inside when it got dark. We still had a fabulous view of...More

We just wanted to pass by and check the famous Rock restaurant and to take some pictures. By the time you arrive on the beach, you are harassed by a bunch of local kids trying to steal from you whatever you have as a snack...More

My friends and I visited the restaurant on a rainy day, but had high hopes that a good meal in a surreal environment would lift our spirits. The boat out was fun and we were soon ready to order. Our waiters were a bit rude...More

The location is stunning and if the restaurant lived up to it, the experience would have been good. Staff are unhelpful and rather abrupt for hospitality professionals. Not worth the amount of money you pay for a meal there.

I loved this gorgeous location, I arrived just as the sun was setting and we took a boat over, it was beautiful. The food itself was okay, but you are definitely paying for the view. Still, I'm glad I went.

Great location, good food (albeit somewhat too pricey for a good value for money rate but the location makes up for it), service can improve, even though very friendly.

We didn’t have anyone vegan on our party, but they seemed pretty accommodating and they certainly have plenty of international visitors. Consider checking their website and emailing them.

To be sure - I would guess a week - we managed to book twice with a three day margin. BTW - always bring cash when on Zanzibar. The web connection on Z is unpredictable... Enjoy!

Yes, they take credit cards, but they will add a charge of 5% (?) to the bill (just like any other business does in Tanzania)
