Great location next to the river, disappointed on first visit as stopped for lunch after a long walk said food 12-3 but when we arrived at 2.20 chef had left. Went back next day great food and the best home cooked fat chips I've tasted in years. Staff lovely and friendly and reasonable priced

A lovely place for a quick bite or a drink. Lovely atmosphere, staff are really pleasant and the location is ideal, along the banks of the River Wye. Part of the restaurant is dog-friendly, too!

It took us a long time to get to Symonds Yat on a Friday evening so we needed somewhere for a quick bite. Friendly service and good basic pub grub which is not a negative. Decor is quirky and comfortable rather than smart.

Nice old style pub. Stopped by for dinner recently, glad to find it was dog friendly. Staff pleasant and food nice - decent portions. Would have been nice to have the fire on though as it was freezing!

Lovely waterside pub with a pleasant atmosphere we had lamb burgers which were delicious. The building does need some love but no reason not to visit.

Great views from the window side tables. Can see kingfishers and heron wandering the waterside. Fare and service were okay.

Great lamb burger, wide selection of ales, reasonable value, good service, happy to accommodate a large group, ideal for a stop after kayaking down the river

Booked a table here for a meal with friends. We all had steaks which were cooked to perfection. Loved the wild mushroom and cherry tomato salad, as well as the delicious chips. Excellent service. Good choice of wines and loved the Gin list. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will come again.

Dissapointed with the food here. Nice pub but food needs to improve to be on a par with Saracens Head.
