Just had lunch at The Saracens Head for our wedding anniversary- absolutely fantastic meal! They catered so well for my Gluten Free wife - nothing too much trouble! Also very dog friendly in the bar - bowl of water provided. Would definitely recommend! May be wise to book like we did and give plenty of time to park - very... More

we had a lovely meal here yesterday, we managed to book a table inside for 6, you can't book the exterior tables and the pub was soon so busy that they had to turn people away. The menu was varied and the food we ate extremely tasty. What took this pub to a different level was the customer service. One... More

The restaurant has a good menu choice and fairly priced as the quality of the meals are excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive.

We ate here twice during our stay at Symonds Yat - great food, great service, great view! Staff were friendly, helpful and well-informed about the availability of items on the menu, and everything was available. No confusion here, unlike up the road! The outside eating area was great, with customers chatting and sharing their experiences, and watching the hand-pulled ferry... More

This place is awesome, gets very busy on summer days but worth the wait. The staff work hard and food is always great. Worth the visit

Had an evening meal in the restaurant for 3 evenings. Food and service was very good. It does get extremely busy when weather is good and at weekends so need to book in advance. Plenty of seating outside and in the bar. Symonds Yat East does not have massive parking facilities so need to be their early.

Stopped for some light refreshment after a walk by the river. The pub has lots of outside space but was very busy. So can be a bit tricky to get a table. The choices of drinks is extensive & reasonably priced. Although we did not have food it looked good & reasonably priced. The staff were friendly & efficient.

It's clear why this is so popular: the food and drink are good and the staff courteous and prompt. However, it is this very popularity which is its only downside - it is very busy. However, it is a great place for lunch, especially if you can get a table, outside overlooking the river. Parking is at the public car... More

Popped in for a few pints of ale after a long walk and thought that the pub would be expensive due to the location and lack of competition. Very pleased to announce that it was usual pub prices for the beer (didn't eat so couldn't tell you). Glorious weather so sat out front overlooking the river, the children had ice... More
