All you can eat for 42 euros is a nice deal. However each time I go they reduce the options even further. The first time it was a Great Offer, then it became a Good Offer and now I would say it’s an OK offer....The service is relatively slow, I think they have reduced staff significantly but they are all very friendly.More
You expect the best when you visit this restaurant which we have been to on every visit to Ibiza. Certainly, it has suffered with the Covid restrictions. Lack of atmosphere and the normal buzz you get here. That is understandable but the poor service can't...be blamed on the pandemic. A real lack of attention exacerbated by the fact that they failed to deliver a surprise birthday desert despite calling them to arrange that and notifying the waiter at the table. The staff seemed very disinterested which has never been the case on previous visits. On a positive note the food was excellent both starters and main course. Can't comment on the desert as we gave up waiting to be able to order that. Hoping this is a one-off experience because you are paying a lot for the food without the service.More
The atmosphere and decoration at the hotel was great, got me really in the mood. Service could have been better, staff running around all over and you had multiple servers. Should be one main server you get to build a relationship with. Having to look...at the menu on your phone was not easy and they expected you to know what you wanted sooner. The food was pretty good, but way overpriced and I was still hungry after. This place is best for couples. I booked two days before online and did not have to pay a reservation fee.More
We have been coming to this restaurant for years now and it is still very nice. The food was good but I found it very expensive. The mini wagyu burgers, 2 , the size of a 2 euro coin for 22 euro is just too...much. The sushi is still among the best I have ever eaten.
I will probably go again next time when I am in Ibiza.More
Please don’t fall for this tourist trap. Food is less than average with pre-made sauces, salmon was not fresh and portions are small at best. For those who know, Nothing to compare with Buddakan, Sushi Samba or Nobu but same price for 1/4 of the...quality.
When I wanted to returned my “fresh caught” salmon GM came to my table trying to persuade me saying that it wasn’t bad, but I didn’t like it. Pretty clear that he hasn’t tasted his on food in years or his palate discerning is off.
You will be better off trying other more authentic places like Aubergine rather than this copycat pretentious poor quality tourist trap.More
We have been many other times in this restaurant for the food and for the atmosphere. But this year we had a really really bad experience!
We ordered the white wine suggested by the sommelier (obviously, more expensive than the one we had chosen..) but...arrived not chilled at the table. We then asked to put it in the ice for a while. The sommelier arrived with a very arrogant attitude saying we were maybe not used to wine but to beer... Intolerable!
But the worst surprise was when we received the bill as the down payment we had been asked to give at the time of reservation (180 euros!) was not deducted in the total amount. We asked the waitress and she quietly answered (giving the idea of any surprise....) that it was "her mistake"....
So ...in the end the food was still very good, the atmosphere was always nice but with this level of service we definitely won't hang out on Babuddha any more.More
My partner and I attended this restaurant just the two of us for what was sold to us a real exciting culinary experience, unfortunately we were left very underwhelmed. We started with the papaya salad and the seafood and beef dumplings. The papaya salad came...with no papaya, I pointed this out to the waiter and in fairness he did bring over some papaya to put in the salad but there was no apology and it was still very bland. The seafood dim sum in fairness were nice but the beef ones were lacking any flavour. Next we had the bao buns, the crab and the beef, the beef was of good quality but was lacking any imagination on the accompanying filling. The soft shell crab ones were nice and had a little more going on. We then moved onto the short rib beef which was of good quality but very overcooked as we had asked for medium rare and it was cooked through with no pink at all. For mains I had the massaman curry and partner had the Korean fried chicken, to be fair the lamb in my massaman was beautiful and melted in the mouth and my partner said he enjoyed his fried chicken pieces. For desert we shared the black moon eclipse which tasted like a toddler had been let loose in the kitchen of a cake shop, absolute no balance of flavours what so ever. The bill came to €259 for the two of us and I did not drink alcohol and my partner had two drinks. I would not waste your money visiting this establishment unless you throughly enjoy being underwhelmed in cheaply decorated restaurants that attempt to market themselves as a destination spot. On another note Antoine one of the waiters at the restaurant was full of energy, passionate about food and very charming, completely wasted on this venue.More
My fiancée and I went to Bambuddha on a Thursday night. It was very busy.
We waited 50 minutes to be seated which we didn’t mind too much as we had a drink in the lounge but then we were seated in the most uninspiring...area of the restaurant (At the back left side away from most other tables/buzz) and sectioned off by plants so you can’t see much.
Considering how amazing the decor and environment is we were not pleased to be sat so far away from the main buzz of the restaurant. It felt like we could have been anywhere.
There were two other tables sat near us, both of them demanded to move and I noticed were both moved. I likened it to being sat in the car park, you could kind of hear and see what was going on but you weren’t really involved. The only thing about this back corner of the restaurant was that it provided kitchen access. Otherwise I wouldn’t have said it was a nice enough area to have tables.
I gather that no one wanted to sit in this are as everyone was complaining around us also.
We were moved tables after requesting a few times and having been there nearly 1hr 15 mins at this point. We would have left if they didn’t move us.
When we moved our seat was so much better and in the beautiful setting, our server was fantastic and passionate and really turned our evening around, we were so grateful that he was our server (sadly didn’t get his name) but our night got much better. We enjoyed the truffle gyoza and some other nibbles, black cod, Laksa curry. All of the food was delicious and black cod is not the newest dish on any menu but they genuinely do a great job of it and we loved it!
I would recommend this restaurant for big groups, or couples but just be sure to specify where you want to sit as it will change the outcome of your experience.
All in all it ended as a great night we just wish it started out better.More
