Best restaurant in Alvor in my opinion. Fabulous food, extremely friendly staff, really genuine and love kids too. My 2 year old was talking about the father (his name escapes me right now but he could not have been nicer) for weeks after our visit! It still stands out as a highlight of the holiday for me and it's been... More

Having visited Alvor for over twenty years, and having eaten in many of the restaurants in the Village, we decided to try out this Restaurant, having seen so many postive reviews. There was six of us and only 2 other people dining when we visited. We decided on the steak and sole and rice for the smallest member of our... More

Visited here on recommendation of a local - real laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and so reasonable. We had sole the first night and the owner brought the pan down to our table - it was delicious. the rice pudding is a lovely warming dessert afterwards. Also had the thai chicken curry another night- v... More

Host was very welcoming and helpful. I couldn't decide between prawns and mackerl to start so shared both, along with chicken liver for my husband. All exellent. Then tuna steaks for main which were huge. And then the youghert mouse with mango and the soft egg cuastard pastry, agin both yummi. Well worth a visit!!

Not what we expected to find but a lovely meal was had so much so we had to go back a second time. A house converted into a restaurant/tapas bar run by a son and his father. Clams were amazing!

A hidden gem near the centre of Alvor. This family run restaurant offers great food at very reasonable prices. We had pork cheeks and pork with clams both of which were excellent and the bill at the end was a surprise at how cheap it was. A must go to place!

The owner of this restaurant went out of his way to purchase this small house in a back street just 2 years ago. He has turned it into an extra special eating place full of local food and well worth a visit. His father is a waiter and his mother works in the kitchen. This is a great family affair.... More

Came across this traditional place by accident. It's in a wee back street near Buddy's bar. Not near the sea front but it is by far better than some of these places. Very attentive staff. Explained the tapas type starters and mains. Food beautiful and fresh. I'd thai green curry which was delicious. Partner had steak. Waiter said it came... More

We were taken to this little gem a week ago and had a very pleasant evening with good Portuguese food with a twist. The petiscos to start are great in particular like the chicken livers. My wife had the pork cheeks and was great to have with fresh vegetables. My main was Chicken Thai Curry! it was really good! Give... More

My husband and I ate here last week and really enjoyed the dining experience. The menu is small and changes every day. We decided to select different plates from the interesting tapas menu and were not disappointed. The waiter was delightful and discussed the various dishes with us. We liked the black pudding but my favourite plate was the scrambled... More
