The restaurant belongs togheter with Alte Schmiede and KrallerAlm to the same group. The menu is almost identical. The food is good, the prices reasonoble for the location and the service very efficient. Europe's highest-altitude brewery and the beer is very good.

Large lunchtime mountain restaurant, once a brewery, so great artisan locally brewed beers are on offer. The place oozed charm and character, with fabulous food very reasonably priced (I had the best goulash soup I have ever eaten, really filling, and only €6!) great savoury...More

This is actually a beautiful place done to resemble a big Bavarian beer hall. But like its sister establishments the Alte Schmeide & the Kralleralm, they are set up as big investments & aggressive businesses to make as much money as quickly as possible for...More

I have never left a restaurant so frustrated. We arrived at 11am and grabbed a seat outside and waiting to be served. Having spoken to 3 members of staff it was apparent that nobody was going to serve our table and they all advised that...More

We sat for 15/20 minutes, being told by multiple waitresses and waiters that ‘we were not their table’. As time went on, we tried, very politely, to catch their attention. Waitresses literally said ‘no’, and then took orders from tables all around us. It got...More

Over 4 floors is this amazing restaurant / museum. Full of Brewery memorabilia and great attention to detail. Food was great too. Also went on a Tuesday night when they had a live band. Great fun.

The original hut "Asitzhutte" was built in 1930, when the region at the Asitz was used for skitouring. After the construction of the first cable car in the 1970's, the hut became a ski restaurant. In the year 2010, the Altenberger family purchased the hut and rebuilt it to the today's AsitzBrau - Europes highest brewhouse, directly at the Asitz mountain station. With 3 floors, different cosy restaurants and the brewery hall, the AsitzBrau offers accommodation for 500 people and is a perfect place for events. Brewery specialties like beer pretzel, typical roasted bratwurst from a beech wood grill and the exclusive AsitzBrau-beer are fixtures.
