We arrived for a late lunch on a warm sunny day in February. Te place was very busy and we were warned of a long delay if we wanted a full meal. By choosing simple dishes and salads, we were served quite quickly and the...More

This is such a lovely hotel - beautiful old building - gorgeous location and view - kind staff, reminds me of what hotels used to be like before everything became run by a corporation. Definitely get a room that opens onto the enormous upstairs verandah.

Hi Chris, Really appreciate your kind feedback and we're very glad our heritage 1870 building's shortcomings, didn't distract too much from your visit. Very happy to have you back when your next in the vicinity. Many happy travels, Jeremy

We had a lovely chilled dinner here while with family. The seafood platter was excellent and the service was perfect. The owner was very knowledgable with wines which was very interesting and in fact pointed us in a new direction... try the bogle!More

Food could only be described as poor. Limited choice, and no corn fritters or croquettes which were signature dishes on recent review. Burgers were mediocre. Wonderful position with view on terrace. Staff were pleasant and helpful and apologetic for lack of choice on new menu.More

Hi Richard, Seasons change, menus change and staff change as well. We do endeavour to keep our online menu up to date but cannot be accountable for not having supposed "signature dishes" available, which were the fancy of a reviewer. Nevertheless, we are very glad...More
