Full disclosure: We've eaten at this restaurant four times over the past 8 years. The first two times, it was average, so we didn't go back for several years.Recently we decided to give it another try.The food was excellent and so we recommended it to...our friends. Tonight, though, the food was inexcusable. After a 90 minute wait for take out, we got home and opened our food to find soggy, cold French fries and a falling apart fish sandwich. The fish was so thin and dry. The buns were dry and crumbling. The tomato slice, onion and pickles were wrapped in foil and tossed in the bag. I have truly had better fish and fries at fast food places. What a disappointment! We will never go back.More

I believe due to COVID, there was only one server. She was also the bartender, but she was still very attentive. The drinks were great. I recommend the tequila chicken. It was so flavorful and they pour a tequila shot right over top while it's...sizzling in front of you!More

The food awsome, but the service must improve. One waitress for many people. The kids were desperate to eat.

Staff was excellent. Quick to accommodate and very friendly. Food was great if you want American cuisine. Nothing against the staff and the service they provide. They are amazing. However, the owner was dining there as well on this night. Was rude to his staff and...made his table their priority. I get it you own the place but the staff works for gratuity not to serve you. Also allowing your friend to let their small dog sit in one of the high top table chairs was just the icing on the cake. Go there for American cuisine and friendly staff. Just hope the owner isn't dining.More

My husband and I visited the Brass Cactus in March during a short vacation to Luquillo. The spot was highly recommended to us. The restaurant was lovely. The food and drinks were well prepared and delicious. The staff was kind and showed pride in their...service. My husband and I quickly recognized the owner based on his demeoner with staff. As we continued to enjoy dinner, we observed the owner make several demands to staff who needed support. However, the owner was also dining with a group and requesting items for his own table while orders for other customers required filling. It was a bit distasteful and disrespectful to the servers and customers alike. We paid our tab, tipped our server and bartender well. I would come again. My husband feels differently based on principle. The owner should not play where his work is, and requires an adjustment in humility. Poor values makes poor business and it is noticeable!More

Ate dinner here and the service was fantastic! Juan was always stopping by to make sure we had everything we needed and was very personable. Food was good. I had a steak and they brought it out on a hot skillet. I recommend asking them...to put on a plate if you don't want it overcooked by the time you get half way through it.More

Fish was dried out, salad was ok. Nothing special. Service was fine. Typical North American fare. No drink or beer specials. Portions average, prices average to high. Conch fritters were very good! Mostly unspectacular experience!

We stopped by here for dinner looking for something different tonight and found a local gem. Good pub food menu of all the typical classics. We had combinations of wings, chicken, burgers and wraps. Everything was good and the prices were very reasonable. Drinks are...really cheap and good too! Interior is wood and there’s on street parking. The owner came by to say hi and service was good. We’d go back - very good experience.More

I recommend you call them directly; at 1 (787) 889-5735. They might still not have power since the passing of storm Maria.
