Like no other bar I've been to. It's like something out of Waterworld. You can only get there by boat. Worth the cost just to experience.

Obviously A tourist destination rather than a local hang out, but what a taste of Jamaica and something everyone should do once! We stopped at pelican bar as part of a tour which also included Black River, our guide called ahead with our lunch order so that there was little wait. The lobster and fish were cooked to perfection and... More

Very cool place to see and experience. Felt the staff was like an army and super pushy. Had a better time just standing in the water enjoying a beverage then inside the actual bar. They should add some tubes and staff to the water and this location would be amazing!

we had heard about this place and thought it interesting, but weren't interested enough to plan to pay money to go buy drinks. we ended up in Treasure Beach later in the day than expected and weren't able to do much else, so we decided to make the trip (we actually ended up going twice!). You can go down to... More

Great bar built on stilts on a sandbar about a mile out to sea from Black River or Treasure Beach. We didn't order food, just had a few beers and snorkelled in the crystal clear waters, lots of little fishies hiding around the stilts and bigger fish out and about on the reef. Fantastic experience. Boat ride out there was... More

One of the most unique stops of any vacation. This is a must stop when visiting Jamaica. A truly Jamaican experience. From the small, old wooden boat we took to get there to the island "aroma" as we approached to the rustic laid back feeling of being there. Wow!

As the description of the place said, it's a nice chill out spot just for a couple of hours. It was a very good experience however don't order food if you don't need to. They serve sliced fish and a lobster 'salad'. Drink a beer instead!

What can i say about Pelican Bar, there is only one in the world and it is in Jamaica! Incredible wooden bar in the middle of the water, check the vibes of the local mixing with the tourists. Play dominos, have a Rum and Ting, life is great and it is even better at the Pelican Bar.
