About
On the golden sandy shores of Point Baptiste Beach outside of the quaint fishing Village of Calibishie is that quiet hideaway of "Escape Beach Bar & Boutique Lodging" right beside the gorgeous Red Rocks, that are a natural wonder not to be missed. It is on the Atlantic Coast of the North East end of the Island of Dominica. It is only 25 minutes from Melville Hall International Airport.

Getting here isn't easy but is so worth it! The location is stunning, perfect for sunset and a romantic dinner/special occasion. We stopped by for a dinner once and if we had more nights available while in Dominica we would certainly revisit.
Make sure to arrive before sunset as once it's get dark you naturally won't see anything on the beach side except for maybe some tiny lights from Guadeloupe :) they have torches on sticks around the tables so of course that is still a beautiful setting and relaxing/romantic setting.
We sadly weren't too hungry that day so only went for 2 starters and drinks but I bet their other options are also great. The young couple running the place is super friendly and polite, this is a place where you come to relax and unwind and the atmosphere for it is just perfect!
TIP: to get to this restaurant is a bit tricky, probably the most difficult one in the area to get to but it's worth it, google maps shows incorrect location but as you drive take this side residential road off the main round (shortly after POZ restaurant sign on the main road), from there you take another right into further residential area :) it's pretty narrow especially if the local cars are parked so drive slowly; once you make it to the Chocolate Factory you will see the gate for Escape and from there it's another hairpin road downhill... after all the restaurant is right on the beach and you do come from the main road on the hill :)
TIP: bugs on the beach are pretty relentless but once it became dark that problem disappeared :)

Turned up here on our last day for lunch prior to getting to the airport - wish we had found the place earlier! Great service from the new owner. Sat in shady spot on the wonderful beach. Good menu and drink selection. Prompt service of excellent food.

This place is the best! Secluded almost private beach, yummy fresh and local food, fantastic service. The staff is so lovely.
This is a must visit if you are in the area.
They also offer a beachfront cabana and a villa for rental.
The beachfront cabana was just perfect, we had most meals at the beach bar which were all great!

I had dinner here two nights in a row. The ambiance is great. The shaded grove of coconut trees on the beach is beautiful. Our meals were great. Highly recommended

5 of us stopped by for a drink and we LOVED the experience! We would recommend this place for a visit - gorgeous view of the Atlantic and the Red Rock nearby. Drinks were delicious!

Be warned there is 10% service charge and then 15% tax on advertised drinks so makes for a very expensive drink!

Great food and stunning beach. A hidden gem. We had lobster bisque and seared tuna. And after lunch enjoyed the beach. Highly recommended.

Super food in a magic setting - this is a little piece of paradise and the new managers have set things up wonderfully. Not the cheapest place to go but worth every penny.

Dominica has limited options when it comes to good restaurants so I am so happy to have found this spot! Menu is great, quality preparation and solid presentation ( and quick! ) The drinks offering is on point with a good selection of wines that are very reasonable. All in all, I would say that there are few places better than this spot and the location is 11/10! Right on the beach and service is quick and genuine. I am already planning a return visit. Well done!

Everything was superb! Staff and food were totally awesome. Atmosphere was soooooo nice. Management were very friendly and top notch!! I cany say enough good things. Very very awesome family dinner. The 4 kids totally loved it. The staff,food,service and setting were so nice. I was super impressed with everything. Only bad thing was we didn't take bug spray and thay was our bad. We should have known. Got a couple bites because we were slacking. 2 best restaurants on north Dominica are this one and Poz. Both deserve a look see. Cant believe among all the destruction the hurricane cause these 2 restaurants exist. A credit to the staff and the owners!! So glad we went and will be back. Crazy awesome food and super good times. This escape will be remembered for all time. Thank you!!

Beachfront tables give this restaurant a secluded and romantic atmosphere, and the food is well prepared and delicious. You can't beat the outdoor view and the feeling of being on the beach and in the midst of a lush rainforest.

We had a great time and the food was great, service was also with a smile. My wife and me fell in love with the beach here which is unlike any that we have seen with our own eyes, you will love this place!!
