We popped in for a coffee which was delivered promptly - they were not busy. It was good coffee. However the staff just seemed to be disorganised. Were they maybe lacking focus because it was so quiet, perhaps? They were friendly though. However it does raise questions as to how they would cope if it were busy. The cafe offers... More

I had a short break in Mallaig for lunch whilst on the Jacobite Express Steam Train ride. I needed a drink and I can't have milk products. Not only did An Cala have soya milk available, but they had decaffeinated tea as well. All I had was a take away drink but it's rare in smaller towns to find restaurants... More

4 of us visited before getting the ferry to Skye we had soup, sandwiches and a panini which were very good and tasty. Extra marks gained for gluten free bread marks deducted for no wifi but overall it was great with friendly staff and prompt service

Really good Cullen Skink and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Cakes were also good. A nice and bright place for lunch or a pot of tea in Mallaig.

Great coffee shop with friendly staff. Homebaking was excellent - had a chocolate mint tiffin slice with a good pot of tea. Staff were very friendly. Looked as if it would be a good place for lunch. Our friend managed to leave his camera behind, on the window table we had occupied. Staff confirmed that they had found it, and... More

The staff were exceptionally friendly. A spot of satisfying soup and a lovely sandwich and drink refreshed us for our afternoon. Reasonably priced and very clean would definitely recommend this

We called in here following our steam train trip to Mallaig. There was a lovely welcome from the ladies. We both didn't feel like a large lunch so both ordered sandwiches. They were absolutely delicious. Fresh and very filling. A beautiful view from every window and exceptionally clean bathroom. If you are ever in this area, you won't be disappointed... More

While we only popped in for a scone and a coffee, the lady who served us was very efficient and curteous. Our piping hot coffee arrived in seconds with great homemade scones. We found the staff friendly and the cafe very busy. Happy to return.
