On my recent visit to this establishment I enjoyed the food and the portion size was great. The staff were friendly but I feel that they were in a hurry to clear the table. One member off my family were still eating and the server tried to take the plate away but we had to stop them as she was... More

I read about the Chlachain Inn whilst sat on the steam train from Fort William, and made a bee line for the place when we got off the train and had about 90 minutes in Mallaig. We sat ourselves at the bar, I ordered a pint of Skye Red, which was in perfect condition and my wife had a glass... More

Visited Mallaig on the Jacobite steam train. It was lunchtime and so most visitors were heading straight into the nearby restaurants. We decided to walk around for a while and we happened upon this pub/restaurant which is set back from the harbour front. I'm glad we did. The log fire was roaring (even in summer) and the barmaid who served... More

Great service, lovely food and affordable. I had a huge serving of Scottish Cullen Skink which was delicious. They allow dogs in which is great, a superb bar selection. Would definitely recommend to families, couples, all sorts, for drinks and food

Visited the Chlachain Inn while on holiday at Mallaig you were greeted by very attentive and friendly staff the food and service was excellent, the ambience and decoration was good, prices were slightly expensive for certain dishes on the menu, but would highly recommend the CHLACHAIN INN for an enjoyable evening

This is a great pub and restaurant right in the middle of town. Could not fault anything and breakfast was brilliant. Restaurant was good offers big choice including vegetarian. All staff were friendly without being over the top. The beer includes real ale.

Nice friendly welcome, good food. Only let down was not cleaning the prawn's waste line before service.

We were visiting Mallaig and the surrounds last weekend, and opted to eat at the Chlachain Inn on our last full night. The first thing that struck me when entering is how large the interior is. Its light, airy and spacious. We were promptly seated and had a drink order taken. I chose the Cullen Skink to start, which was... More
