Popped in to escape the drudgery of Mallaig while awaiting the return Hogwarts Express. A little gem of a place! Quite modern and contemporary, but piped folk music... very clean and tidy... very friendly staff... wish I'd come straight here, instead of awful chippy down the hill.

Really enjoyed the pan seared hand dived scallops in garlic. They were served with a fresh salad and extra fresh bread. Staff were friendly from the moment we walked in. It's a good spot for a meal, if like us you are on the Jacobite train. Pity we forgot to show the brochure from the train, which would've given us... More

We had a very nice meal and very much appreciated and enjoyed the fire. The waitress was very kind and friendly and it was a lovely stop. I wish the owners and employees continued success.

One if the friendliest welcomes we have had on our sailing trip around the Inner Hebrides. Food was excellent. Highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant on Thursday 19 August as we had just come off the Fort William stream train and it was raining cats n dogs outside. When we arrived there was two people in the restaurant. That changed, soon the restaurant was very busy. I expected we would have to abandon dinner and go get the train back... More

As this was the most expensive fish chowder we have ever had at 22.95 ish each, we assumed it would be pretty spectacular. Unfortunately not. We were told it was huge so only ordered one between us and again it wasn't really huge. Staff very friendly and had a nice pint of 3 sisters which again we thought was a... More

We came in late, 15 to 9pm, and mentioned my various food allergies upon ordering. The chef, a Phil Collins lookalike, came out of his kitchen to meet us and make sure I would be safe and happy with my meal. Food was good, enjoyed the Haggis, greatly appreciated the service.

I managed to steer away from my usual steak and chips to have the langoustines (landed that morning) with fries, salad and piles of bread . They were so incredibly delicious and fresh. I could have sat there all night. The chef came out and showed me how to make the most of them with the tools. Staff very friendly.... More

Went to the Clachan bar/restaurant on Saturday 6th August during a stopover with the Mallaig Steam train. The bar was spotless and the atmosphere was cracking for early lunchtime. Food was exceptional and the languistines were amazing. Mine host Ross and the rest of the staff were doing a grand job with effortless ease and always had time for a... More
