We recently went for Sunday lunch. I am not one for writing bad reviews as I think they always appear to be a moan. We have been to the Fleece before a few times and have enjoyed it very much but on this occasion I was not impressed at all. When asked as we were leaving, "was everything alright with... More

A big group of us stopped off for breakfast and it was absolutely fantastic! This is a great pub anyway but I had no idea they did breakfasts. The service was great, food top quality and more toast than we could possibly eat, we were very well looked after Many thanks to the staff, hope to return soon and would... More

I booked a table for 4 based on previous reviews from Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We started with the Queen scallops and Salmon and crab fishcakes, which were light and nicely presented.Great food, generous portions and the famous steak & ale pie with triple cooked chips was a firm favourite for 3 of us. My other friend had... More

So many people had raved to me about the Fleece we tried it out yesterday on my husband's birthday. We'd been out for a walk so didn't arrive until 1.50, which was still before the end of the lunch period. I had the meat and potato pie - most of which was inedible - burnt meat, tough pastry which I... More

friendly, cosy pub with a varied selection of homemade pies. Good hearty portions of homemade pub food. The Yorkshire pudding started is lush.

Visited The Fleece yesterday for Fathers Day with my husband and two children. We were required to make a reservation and when we arrived our table was ready for us to sit at immediately. Despite being an understandably busy day, all courses were presented to a very good standard, hot and freshly prepared. Waiting time between courses were not excessive.... More

In here for lunch last Friday at 12:00. Good selection of beers and an extensive food menu. They made a special "off the menu" salad up for the wife and I hade a hot sandwich. All very good and tasty. Quick service too.

Took my dad for an early Father's Day treat. Nice friendly bar staff met us and found us a table for 6. Good selection of beers, the Jennings was lovely. Good choice on the menu and also a massive selection on the specials blackboard. I went for the slow cooked lamb which was superb, dad had the Cod topper from... More
