6 of us met for lunch and for me it was my first visit but I will be going again. We were in the conservatory which was nice and warm with a lovely view. I imagine this is a good place to go all year round. The meal was good and the staff very friendly and efficient. Wish it was... More

Had 2 evening meals here and a lunch with family and all absolutely great. Husband & I visited firstly and had the early evening menu steak pie - this was full of very tasty beef with a thin crust - too much for me. On 2nd occasion, with family, one had the duck & 2 the belly pork & pork... More

Visited Sunday just gone with family and friends. Efficient and friendly service as always. Main course's all well received. Accompanying vegetables perfectly cooked cauli but the broccoli was not cooked merely warmed through. However the Yorkshire puddings were not good. Tough and hard. In Yorkshire I expect perfect Yorkshires. If I didn't know better I would say that somebody had... More

Popped in at lunchtime as the place further up the road was closed. The service was really good. We had a selection of lunchtime food. All of which was OK. The service was the really outstanding feature. We were also entertained by watching a game of croquet.

Visited each year for the past four years and this year (March 2016) the restaurant had made renovations to the dining area which made it even more charming. You'd miss this place if you drive too fast, but it's at the entrance to the road leading down to Akebar caravan site and golf course. It looks quaint and ancient but... More

Third time we have enjoyed a lunch here with a group of other like-minded colleagues. Lunch was ready for us. Staff very helpful. Big changes with a new conservatory layout, which is very pleasing. Plus separate room we were able to enjoy lunch in the quiet. Keep up the good work everyone

A group of us went for a Friday night treat recently and enjoyed a super meal. It has had a bit of a make over and the conservatory area has changed into a more intimate space. The choice of menu is good, food is well prepared, cooked and served, staff are efficient and helpful
