My friends and I made this our first stop, after driving south from Scotland. The feathers has always got a fab atmosphere, and we enjoyed a few pints in their lovely beer garden in the Yorkshire sun

We unfortunately had to attend the Feathers as the reception after a family funeral. The level of service and attentiveness shown by the staff was exceptional. The nature of the event required tactful service with the staff attentive but blending into the background when not needed. This was done with aplomb. I did not notice the staff in the room... More

Were in Helmsley for three nights and visited the Feathers every night - a nice bar with tasty Black Sheep and other cask ales available. Had a sharing platter - delicious fish fingers, chicken and chorizo kebabs and lovely bread. Will be back next time we are in North Yorkshire.

The Feathers is a perfectly acceptable pub to get a good tasty meal in a cosy restaurant washed down with some good beers. Does what it says on the tin.

The restaurant was fully booked the they managed to squeeze us in, as weren't going to be hours and there was only the two of us. I had the roast turkey, which is not something I would normally choose, but it was very good. My husband had the steak and ale pie which was not shy with the beef. Overall... More

This pub was recommended by a friend and we have eaten our evening meal here every night during our recent visit to Helmsley. The food is good, the staff very accommodating and the atmosphere just to our liking. I would not hesitate to recommend The Feathers.

Wasnt planning on going there but we were let down by the "Inn at Hawnby" so had to find somewhere, a beer was all I had in mind, however what a surprise, lots of locals and tourists in there enjoying very good food, couldnt resist and wasnt dissapointed. The beer was good by the way.

Booked a table in the Atrium restaurant, which is a little quieter than some parts of the pub, and set out with restaurant-style tables. Service was speedy, friendly & efficient and we had a lovely meal. I had the sea bass & my husband had the lamb rump, and both were really good. The wine & food were both reasonably... More

Called in for lunch as our first choice eatery wasn't open on a Monday, but it was a good move, three excellent meals. Lamb rump perfectly cooked, chicken, ham and leek pie and scampi, all well cooked and presented, staff very friendly and helpful. Would eat there again.

We called in at The Feathers in Helmsley and had a Friday lunch. Although it was market day and it was busy we found a table easily and there were plenty of staff around. We had a steak pie and a grilled gammon. Both dishes were good, tasty and hot. We would return for another meal the next time we... More
