Had a meal early evening mid week. Didn’t need to book. Meals were freshly cooked so we had to wait 30+ minutes for sea bass, but didn’t mind as we were forewarned when ordering. Meals were very tasteful & good value for money.

Having ordered only a couple of drinks and entrees (no appetizers), the whole visit exceeded 2 hours with a light dinner crowd. The fish & chips (normally difficult to fail on) was mediocre, but still exceeded the service. Probably best to forgo the upstairs and...More

There is no Ship Inn car park, but public parks are only a few hundred yards away - on the level (not as someone said up a steep hill!!) and there is on street parking if you are lucky!
