We came here four years ago and liked it so thought we would try it again for lunch. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming (English is spoken), the service is good, though maybe initially rather slow. The level of the music has not changed...and some found it rather invasive. The quality of the food is still good, with some highlights – the poached egg on parmesan cream was delicious, as was the clam pasta with lemon, apparently super lemon tasty and refreshing. Other dishes included diced beef with hazelnuts and caprino cheese (good), octopus with pumpkin and bacon (good) and seared tuna with anchovy sauce (boring). Dessert (tiramisu) was underwhelming. Warm homemade bread was provided which was appreciated. The main comment was that the portions are mostly rather small (maybe bistrot style?). Then we come to the wine, which was highly overpriced, particularly by the glass, and significantly increased our bill. General quality/price ratio was in line with Monza centre standards but still a bit high for a bistrot lunch. The ambience is however relaxing and warm and overall Punto G Bistrot is to be recommended. (NB: the restaurant, on the first floor, is considerably more expensive).More

I went there after just it got its star: good but not special, but far better than 3 years ago with previous management (and no star..) We went there after many years with family: we did know very well Mrs Giusy before 2000. Ambient is...substantially the same as 25 year ago, with little intervention. About cuisine: We found they follow typical trends about materials and preparation, with some very elaborated meals. (such and low temperature cooking and similar...) but honestly many dishes leaked of personality, even if well cared and served. as usual and as per actual trend, nice entree and their one bread and "focaccia". Sommelier was decent, even if wine list ia a bit poor. Service is average. Price is at starred level, instead. To sum up: nice place, but I am in doubt about it deserves a Michelin star.More

I was there one year ago. Experience was suboptimal. (see refs). We went back for a business lunch with my colleagues. Presentation was fine, personnel of good level, and finally courses were at the level we expect from a starred restaurant. We took a mix...of entree/1st courses/2nd courses and dessert. As in other starred, they served a lot of little, nice things among main courses. A little shadow about wine list: the do have top class bottles, but choice is a bit poor.More

I remember old restaurant of 10 years ago (completely different) We went there for business lunch. Many aspects resemble starred restaurants: - good wine list - courses similar to "trendy" ones on TV and newpspapers - good manners of personnel But.. to sum up, meals...are not so cared, and preparation is nothing special, taste is quite average and lacks "personality". We did compare with the previous lunch of the previous week. Other won. May be personnel must grow up in cook and in service.More

We lunched in the Bistro; the staff was welcoming and efficient, service excellent. Starters ranged from very tasty tapas to an outstanding mixed salad with vegetables, berries and flowers plus an excellent plate of fresh fried anchovies ; the pasta courses chosen were judged to...be above average; a second course of fresh sliced tuna , cooked correctly at medium rare as requested, was good but rather boring in presentation (whereas the presentation of the other dishes was attractive). The dessert was average, but the coffee arrived with some absolutely yummy petit fours; particularly delicious was the mini pepper-flavoured macaron - wow! Overall our judgement was very positive. Good ratio quality/price. Some of the staff are English speakers and generally the atmosphere was very pleasant (though please turn the music down next time!). Definitely a place to return to. (PS we looked at the menu for the restaurant (which is upstairs) which appeared to be much more exclusive and expensive.)More

We were referred to PuntoG by a friend who knows really a lot about Gastronomic Treasures and this was not exception. This place is not only a Food Business. It reflects a passion, refined taste and attention to details of the owners and Management. The...service is cordial, very professional but not invasive. The whole atmosphere makes you feel welcome in an informal place, simple but with a high level. Food is the best part. Presentation is really art and you can tell they use very good quality ingredients. We tried several but filled Calamari was incredible. Don’t hesitate, you don’t need to look further.More
