We went here after we went to the Skelligs and thought the place would be packed because of its central location right on the harbor, but the restaurant is designed to hold a good quantity of people and we were seated promptly. The servers were great and the food was above average. Definitely a must-go if you hit the Skelligs.

After a visit to Skellig Michil..... A must on anyone's bucket list... Went to the moorings for drinks and food. Wonderful staff, charismatic owners and great food. I had the hake on the recommendation of our waitress Michelle I think. Nicest piece of fish I have had in a long time. Great spot

Visited twice last week with my 8 year old son. Had 2 excellent meals in the restaurant rather than the bar which also looked good. Great seafood and excellent children food. I would definitely return if in the area

Excellent food...we ate there both nights. The specials menu was just incredible. Irish music and dancing on our first night. Kerry is my new favourite county in Ireland.

The Moorings is one of the best small Hotel / B&B's we have ever found :) The location is perfect for all who plan to visit Skellig Michael, the extraordinary island located off Port Magee. The staff are friendly and professional, the food really is excellent and the speed of service is one of the best we have ever experienced.... More

We visited the bar and were very happy with the meals and the drinks. Although it was quiet crowded the staff was friendly, we got a table for 9 within minutes and the food order was processed quickly and the food was awesome. We had Hake, Burger, Steak, Wings, Salad, kid's meals and various desserts and everything was tasty and... More

Had chowder and Guinness here. The soup was a 10 out of 10. Absolutely loved it. Service was great, the place is clean and doesn't smell like a pub. Luke Skywalker drank here so it must be good!!! And the Guinness? Well it was amazing as always :) Very impressed. Will be back!!!!

After landing from our cruise to Skellig Michael we were hungry and the first Bar/Pub we saw was this and once inside it cheered us up by its ambiance and decor! A happening place in this remote fishing village. Food was good and bar was great. Like many Irish pubs it is huge inside! Good service and competitively priced!

We have eaten here a number of times in the past few years and the food is always good. They seat you as quickly as they can and always have specials on a blackboard. Love it here.

I had visited a couple of years ago and had an amazing experience but it was a little different this time. It didn't have the same atmosphere and although it was a Thursday it was nearly empty apart from my table of 4. I had remembered a very packed restaurant the last time and the owner calling by the table... More
