Visited the bridge bar on the last night of our visit to the area and we saved the best for last. We had a super meal. Good kids options and good choices for adults too. Friendly staff. But most importantly, we loved the food. Fresh...More

Great food! Didn't expect the food to be this great in small town. Ordered burger and Soup of the day and Chicken wings for my wife. Everything on the table was great. Highly recommended.

We drove down early one morning from Killarney as we had a skellig Michael boat trip booked. Sadly when we arrived they said the sea was too rough to go out so we had a nice 8am breakfast in the bar instead. We were disappointed...More

This was a good (and maybe only) choice for evening entertainment. Music was offered the night we were there but I'm not sure if it is every night. The place was packed and everyone was having a good time dancing singing and drinking. It's the...More

There are not that many places to eat in Portmagee so this place is usually full. Staff is very friendly and tries to help you out as fast as they can, but be prepared to wait at the bar. The place is cosy and has...More

This used to be a place to go for fresh seafood, unfortunately with the surge in visitors due to the Star Wars scenes the place is not a good as I remember. I attended here with my family the place was very busy, the staff...More

A really great meal. Super friendly staff who did not bat an eyelid with 4 kids and 3 adults. Excellent kids menu with perfect portion sizes. Mussels to die for. Really recommend a visit. We'll be back.

Seating was difficult especialy with a large group and tables could not be pre-booked but they did seem to have a system, which did work eventually.

Went on a Sunday night to listen to the live music. Music was great, a traditional Irish session. Place was packed. Strange rule in place, you could only sit at the tables if you were eating. Otherwise, stand or sit at the bar. Staff not...More

The place was very busy (late lunch time) but it was the holiday season after all. We escaped from the cold outside into the warmth of this place, and although specializing in seafood we opted for the burger and fries. we had wanted to order...More

The Bridge Bar at The Moorings, Portmagee is open all year round. Great food served all day with traditional music at weekends. Trips to Skellig Michael can be arranged and packages are available from April to September. Cois Cuain gift shop is open from March to January. The Moorings is located in a fishing village with a working harbour, post office, general store, coffee shop, bar, restaurant overlooking Valentia Island. There's nothing more endearing than knowing that some of the Hollywood's biggest movie stars like Mark Hamill and Director J.J Abrams have visited the sleepy village of Portmagee, and even sat in the Bridge Bar local pub where Mark Hamill poured a pint of Guinness behind the bar. The Moorings was home to the pre-production team of the Star Wars VII movie and you can visit the room where all the magic took place and listen to the stories told by the staff.
