Delicious, genuine and excellent staff

Anogi was really lovely! Excellent food, the best service, a great philosophy and a wonderful genuine experience. It was also very affordable, we paid 25€ pp and had everything (two starters between us 4, a liter of white wine, a large main course and the complimentary shots and dessert). On average a main course was about 15€ pp. The place was full when we arrived but we waited with a glass of wine in hand and were seated within 30 min. All the dishes were delicious. Especially the seafood pasta and the smoked pork belly. The portions are large and cooked to perfection. We also had the the feta saganaki and a meatball pita thing (I don’t remember the name) as appetizers. I can definitely recommend both, but especially the feta saganaki! The staff made the experience very special. They were very friendly and funny and had us taste some “fire water” (true to its name) and a tasty Greek dessert. The waiter did the shot with us, a great time - thank you!

Fantastic atmosphere and food from an amazing crew

We arrived to Imerovigli almost midnight due to a late flight and everything was closed. Eventually we found this beautiful taverna which still had some guests still sitting around (in retrospect I realize why). The kitchen had closed, but the very friendly crew - realizing our hunger-predicament - sat us down, and got the kitchen to prepare some wonderful homemade bread, tzatziki, wine, olives, salad etc, which was a great meal in and of itself. Of course we had to go back to taste the real kitchen, and once again got a wonderful experience (this time it was packed) from a super friendly crew, as well as the best (literally) lamb I have ever tasted. The food and drink is perfection and the crew and surroundings provide a warm and cozy atmosphere that really makes you want to come back.

Delicious food, but it was the service that amazed us!

It is not an easy task, to find a restaurant in Santorini that serves decent portions of good food for a reasonable price. Anogi fits that bill and offers exceptional service on top of that, making it a safe bet for a lunch or dinner option in Imerovigli. We were recommended the restaurant by our tour guide, who lives on the island, and we would like to extend this recommendation to all island visiters. It is not super fancy, but its comfortable and cozy and the food felt home cooked!

A Victim Of It’s Success

Based on our experience, this restaurant appears to be a victim of its own popularity. We were returning from a sunset tour and our guide/driver recommended this restaurant, which is close to our hotel. We arrived slightly after 8 pm, and there were 5 groups of 2 waiting for tables. But, we got seated immediately as a group of 4. There were people waiting to be seated the entire time we were there, a testament to its popularity. However, I highly suspect that in an attempt to serve as many people as possible, the quality of the food has suffered. Our appetizers all tasted like they had been cooked earlier and warmed up when ordered. They were still good, but they were not hot and not fresh. The same was true of our entrees. The service was extremely fast. Less than a minute passed between the time they picked up our appetizer plates and the time they served our entrees. You can tell the chef has talent; however, it appears to be taking second place behind maximizing profits.

Wonderful Greek food and atmosphere

During a 5 day stay in Imerovigli recently, Anogi wowed us so much that we returned two nights later for another wonderful dinner! Recommended to us by our hotel, we were fortunate enough to get reservations made on relatively short notice - be warned, without a reservation you may be waiting awhile due to it's popularity. Sitting outdoors on their lovely large patio, we were amazed by the high quality of Greek dishes and yet the casual atmosphere. Everything we ordered was excellent, made with local ingredients, and served to us by our wonderful waitress who made both nights a joy to be there. The chicken kabob was especially good, the fried calamari was perfect, lamb was wonderful. Between both nights and four of us, we had plenty to sample, all of it delicious. After declining dessert, they very kindly brought desserts to us on the house! Make sure you get a reservation and you'll have a wonderful Greek eating experience at Anogi. Thanks to everyone at Anogi for such wonderful memories!

We were absolutely satisfied with the menu, the quality of the foods and the service. We tasted several kinds of food from the menu, and all of them were hearty and delicious. Waiters/waitresses were very kind and helpful, the service was quick. This restaurant was so good that we choose them for two consecutive nights in a row. I would definately recommend to make a reservation in advance, unless you need to wait 5-10 minutes.

Dinner for 2..busy despite COVID-19

We visited in late August, the restaurant was soon full not long after we arrived. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. My smoked pork belly very good. My wife had the mussell and prawn risotto that she very much enjoyed. Meal with a local beer and half carafe of Rose wine €50 plus tip. I would return

Anogi is simply the best restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of dining during my 10 day stay in Santorini, it is the only restaurant I went back to a second time. The cooking style is different and there is a “twist” on the usual staple dishes utilizing the chefs secret recipes. I absolutely loved the taste of everything! During this time it is also clear the staff take proper precautions, more so then other restaurants I’ve went to, still those smiles serving you are so big that that even that mask can’t hide them! Such friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby or on the island for some time. Be sure to make reservations, they are quite popular! I had the chance to try the octopus, pork shank, seafood orzo, tomato balls, all dishes were amazing and unique! Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful food and a lovely Taverna. We came here for a special meal as we just got engaged in Imerovigli! Despite feeling very over excitable and overwhelmed we managed to chill out here for a lovely meal right afterwards! It was definitely an evening to remember for us both The restaurant is particularly easy to find and didn’t feel like a tourist trap much like a lot of others. The food was very unique, well cooked, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The service was also top notch; we were given free dessert at the end of our meal and constantly attended to throughout by the friendly staff. Would have liked to visit this place more than just the once but definitely will be coming back next time. Would recommend the Calamari, chilli cheese (starter) and chicken. The chicken was served in an absolutely divine tasting honey & mustard dressing, best I’ve ever tasted. Definitely go to this place if you’re in Imerovigli.

Being there last year (twice) 😄and again this year twice during our three day visit to Santorini.They immediately recognised us and warmly welcomes us like we were family.THe food and the service was impecable as always.I Tried the lamk shack a new addition to the menu with lime souce and it was tender and delicious full of taste.BUt my all times favorite is the octapus and the pork shack which are almost addictive, and i dream of for a whole year to eat them again. A culinary experience you should never miss once in imerovigli.It is like having a sunday meal with your family. Warm, frienly, confirting.WHat suprised me was the fact that orher visitors were 'regular' like us. ANogi must be doing something right.

Great relaxing dinner

Delicious food, knowledgeable and attentive staff and very central location loved it! I got the calamari and seafood moussaka the food was fresh and tasty. It’s a lively spot close to shops, pharmacy etc. we ate around 7 and left around 9 we didn’t feel pressured to leave had a lovely bottle of local white wine which was unreal very easy to drink and was reasonably priced

We visited the restaurant today and had the chicken souvlaki to share, fried calamari and Cretan barley bread to start. Most of the food was great. The chicken souvlaki was the standout with it being so tender and soft. I wouldn’t recommend the Calamari though, as it ended up being really tough and chewy. That being said, the pieces were really thick so that might have been the reason. The staff were rushed off their feet and took a while to get us the check, but they were very friendly and personable. They even gave us a little desert on the house which was some form of syrup sponge, and it was delicious!

Fantastic food and service

We visited this restaurant 3 times during our 9 night stay, its that good. Traditional Greek menu, amazing welcome from the team and a joy to visit. We ate beef, pork, meatballs, and the best was the Chicken Souvlaki.... We booked twice and turned up once, its very popular, so reservations recommended.

Very good service and ambient atmosphere. Food is mediocre, based on tourists that don't know real Greek flavors, if you are of this kind you will enjoy a lot if you have been raised in a Greek family who cooks you will find it average. In general nice service and ambience. For the result is overpriced however if you haven't tried real Greek cuisine you may find it very nice.

The last supper on the island - succulent

Excellent, authentic food. Friendly staff. Great terrace. Our hotel recommended the place and we loved it - perfectly cooked octopus, delicious eggplant millefeuille and great wine. Go there after sunset, you won’t have the view but you’ll have everything else. During weekends, there is a queue outside so don’t forget to make a booking.
