L'Auberge de la Marine is situated in the small town of Le Crotoy on the Baie de la Somme. I guess coming there on a Sunday in August, when the following day was a jour ferie was not the best of plans as it was choc-a-bloc and a parking space was not to be had anywhere. However, Lucie Lefebvre, the... More

The staff were wonderful. Nothing was a hassle. They always had a smile. We opened the wine list to discover that our favourite winemaker, Henri Bourgeois, had supplied many of the wines. Naturally we ordered the Pouilly Fumé. To start with, we were given some grey prawns as 'nibbles' followed by a fish-mousse amuse-bouche. Both gratuit. I had the oyster... More

A fantastic and delicious dinner. We found this restaurant quite by chance, as there was a parking space opposite. Charming reception, pleasant room, and a dinner which was by any standards exceptional. The pigeon was wonderful, the oysters tasty, the dessert a perfect finale. Most of all, the little inspired touches, cauliflower purée, pea and mint sorbet with strawberries, amazing... More

As good as last year and as excellent service as in summer 2015. High standard, nice presentation of the dishes, very professional service. The menu offers fish and meat dishes made with local products when relevant. Highly recommended restaurant (please book as it is quite popular place especially during summer).

We had a very lovely dinner here, and were pleasantly surprised by the innovative cuisine of the chef, and by the reasonable prices of this place. This restaurant appears to be on track for a Michelin star... Very fresh products, direct from the waterfront. (the name of the fishing boat appears to designate the fish and shellfish products). No kids... More

Luckily we had made a reservation a week ahead, the restaurant was full. It was our first time here and we were expecting a culinary feast, the reviews on “TripAdviser” where positive and they were right on the spot. My wife and I ordered the Chef ‘s choice menu (40 € per pers.) 7 different plates of surprises. they don’t... More

We had the scallops like a spring roll and the fish course and steak. Everything was wonderful and it was very good value for money 12euro starters and 18euro mains. Don't miss this!

This is a really excellent small restaurant in the town of Le Crotoy. The food is very local, with fresh fish coming direct from the local boats. There is a great menu and choice and it is all beautifully presented. Highly recommend but it is very popular so do book ahead if you can.

This is one of our favourite family-run restaurants in France and it only gets better! The restaurant itself, in a lovely old red-brick house just behind the sea front, is bright and modern. The staff are genuinely warm, helpful and efficient. After a couple of little amuse-gueules, my first course was a pretty concoction of large, fat oysters, briefly cooked... More
