Disappointing restaurant

Needs renovation/ staff could be more. Friendly. If you sit inside (downstairs) this place has the atmosphere of a bomb shelter (tiled floors / depressing brown colours everywhere). We were “welcomed” by young staff who was not making eye contact but only looking at her electronic booking gadget. If you want to enjoy a good local beer, you could straight away visit a local pub with more atmosphere! The food was average and nothing special.

Very nice place to eat when in Kromeriz Czech Republic.

While visiting Kromeriz Czech Republic with friends we stopped off for lunch at this restaurant. Nice outside tables with real chairs (not picnic tables). Located on the town square. Good service and good Czech food. The four of us all had something different and everyone liked their meal. Clean bathrooms. Easy parking in the town parking garage. Recommend. Would return.

Good location - but very disappointing food and drinks; unfriendly staff.

Good is the central location on a road to Velké náměstí. We had a beautiful view of the magnificent buildings on one of the most beautiful marketplaces in Moravia. Otherwise we were very disappointed. When we wanted to see a menu, we initially only received one copy in which no prices were entered. At our intensive demand, we were finally granted our wish after a while. It should be noted here that the serving ladies have already been very arrogant with us here. We were also somewhat disappointed with the offer. The focus of the food was on junk food – items such as burgers, BBQ, kebab and also products of Italian ‘cuisine’ with pizza, pasta ... At our neighbouring tables, we found that more than half of the plates were filled with french fries. When we also received information about the dishes from the country cuisine – on request – we could see that the prices for them – in later comparison with other restaurants on site – were dramatically high. We ordered here anyway and unfortunately found that our - very small portion - Svíčková were very tough and the accompanying dumplings, rock hard. One word more about the beer: it was badly chilled and our reference to it was dismissed very inconveniently. In addition: On the menu, the beers were excellent with 11%, 12%. To our knowledge, the beer is marked in CZ and also in DE according to the strength of the wort - namely in degrees. Etwa: 10°, 11°: Pilsner Urquell, for example, has 12°; that is, twelve degrees. In the evening it was very lively in the square and also the location in the restaurants was good. By the way, no one sat in Radnični anymore. Apparently, the day guests had all disappeared. The locals were still here.

Came for the day from Slovakia with three friends. The restaurant’s food was very poor. The garlic soup was terrible. It didn’t taste of garlic at all but had an overall taste of cinnamon. My partner stopped the waiter and enquired about it but was told it was garlic. They must have had dozens of that soup before. It was left unfinished. I had stuffed vegetable which was passable. The two other men had beef and dumplings. They said it lacked taste and again the food was left unfinished. I don’t think the restaurant actually cares about what they serve. It’s basically a tourist trap.

Reasonable food but poor service

Food was fine but the service was poor. They brought a main dish together with a soup. But the worst part was dirty bathroom without toilet paper. Based on the reaction of the staff it seems to be a normal situation to be resolved by the guest! :( There are people that should stay away from the customer service!

Downstairs cellar restaurant had 'beer cellar atmosphere' with basic table settings. Of the staff encountered one was polite, one indifferent and one extremely rude. The beer recommended was pleasant but not exceptional the house wines were below the quality to be expected in Moravia and the food was equally forgettable. When we came to pay I asked that the bill be in Czech crowns but the waitress still selected our own currency for payment resulting in a 5% surcharge. When we queried this with the ? manager he appeared indifferent and the waitress was quite rude, denying I had asked the transaction be in crowns ( this despite my wife confirming that I had asked for the transaction be in crowns). If you are not a Czech speaker it is probably best to avoid this restaurant, you won't be missing any food/drink experience and you won't run the risk of being treated rudely.

My wife and I both had schnitzel, and it was good. Local pinot noir and we were pretty happy. Service was a little slow but OK. Recommended.

Delicious meal

Had the pulled pork meal - great price for a delicious meal. We only speak English and they had people who did as well. Recommend this place when you are in Kromeriz.

This restaurant is very overrated. First of all - you are sitting very close to other people - I had to ask lady to move her chair to go toilet. Interior is little bit tired. Food came intime but not very warm and presentation is not a top draw.. No reason to come back

Great atmosphere, great food!

We originally chose another restaurant to eat at and discovered the choices were limited at the hour and the day that we arrived in town - 8pm on a Monday! The restaurant was closed for food so we went with our second choice. SO GLAD WE DID!! Staff were so friendly and accommodating with perfect English (menu also in English). Very warm atmosphere and the place was packed! A mix of traditional and modern cuisine. All very delicious things. We highly recommend this place as your FIRST choice of restaurant when visiting this lovely little historical town :)

Great food, excellent service

This lovely restaurant with a street garden in summer and live piano, is a must go. Tasty local, seasonal and also international dishes, great choice of craft beers, and very competent and lovely staff. Lunch menus on working days are fantastic and very reasonably priced.
