Quiet dinner in friendly spot

The atmosphere is very calm and friendly. We had a quiet rainy dinner here. The waiter was 100% helpful, I don’t eat meat and he was absolutely flexible with the meals. I had vegan taco 🌮 , my husband had fish taco as shared starter. It was perfect portion and delicious. For the main, we had shrimp tostadas, my husband had it as it is on the menu, I had pico de gallo and avocado instead of the shrimps. It was mouthwatering 🙌 I tried the watermelon margarita which was a bit disappointing as all the reviews were about that but probably my expectations got higher .. it was ok but nothing special. But the pineapple juice on rocks with no sugar is highly recommended.

Carlito’s is a MUST!!!!!

By far, Carlito’s is the best dining experience you can have in Uvita if you’re looking for a relaxed and wonderful sit down meal. The ambiance, the food, the drinks, the energy of the place itself...it’s all perfect. I am excited to go back again later this week because it’s that good. The owner named the restaurant after her father, and you can seriously feel the love the restaurant holds in its very foundation the moment you arrive at Carlito’s and it lingers after you go. 10/10 recommend. Get a watermelon margarita and you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. My husband loved it so much that he ordered 2 dinners and ate every bite.

Highly recommend this place, food , atmosphere and service top notch

This place feels like you are visiting a great chef in their garden . We went on free margarita Fridays which was amazing and we had fabulous free margaritas with our meal , recommended the chilli one ! The food was amazing , great price, amazing taste and the best meal id had so far in Costa Rica . Also lovely waitress who made our meal even better !

Ok but nothing to write home about

Came here because the reviews were very good. Honestly, it depends on what level of a picky eater you are. I am not picky. I had the special chicken and spinach enchiladas. They were pretty good; filling, with a small portion of beans and a side salad to round out the meal. My husband is picky. He got nachos to be safe. There was a very small amount of chips and chicken and almost no cheese. He is not a "salad" person, and was disappointed when the nachos arrived with lettuce and tomatoes across the top of the nachos-which was not information provided on the menu. I would go back because of the passion fruit margaritas which you get one free on Fridays, but my husband would not go back.

Amazing food, drinks and hostess

Great little find tucked away. The food is fresh and the drinks are delicious (but strong so don’t get carried away). The hostess, Trish, is charming with just the right amount 80s spunk. The fish tacos were great but the nachos were amazing! We went back again.

Loved the vibe and staff here!

Great for a couples night out! Really good drinks and the food was spot on. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was pleasing. We enjoyed quite a few drinks and laughs here. Good mix of latin, Mexican and traditional food with a focus more on Mexican food.

Cozy Local Vibe w/ Personable Service

We loved this place so much we went 2 nights in a row! Amazing margaritas (sandía was my favorite) and food. Between the two nights, we tried the tacos, quesadilla, enchiladas and the chicken salad and everything was so good. Flavors were spot on. We also enjoyed the bacon wrapped jalapeños (muy picante!). We will be back!!

Wonderful!

Carlito's was recommended to us by the staff of our accommodations in Quepos. We are so glad we took his advice. Trish, the owner, was the perfect hostess. I was suffering from back pain and she brought me a pillow to make my seating more comfortable. I had the shrimp tostada and it was the best meal of the trip! If you are staying in Uvita, don't miss Carlito's!!

Definitely one of the best places to eat In Uvita

Literally the best Mexican food in Uvita! The jalepeno appetizer was delicious! Made me want more! And the margaritas were amazing! Fastest service ever in Costa Rica I was amazed! Elvin was incredible! He was on point all night! Give him a raise! My new favorite place to eat now ! Thanks for a wonderful evening Elvin! I’ll be back soon! Nos Vemos!

Best Margs in town and amazing food!

Carlito’s is our new favorite place to go for great food, FANTASTIC margaritas, and a friendly comfortable atmosphere. I recommend the Tamarindo margarita, the jalapeno poppers, and the chofrito. And be sure to say to the owner- she's tons of fun and super nice. She even sent us home with some frozen soup to try before she put it on the menu! Can't recommend Carlito’s enough!

One of a kind place!!

We had such a great time eating here, that we went back twice! A short, strong menu with great execution of casual dishes. Awesome maracuya (passionfruit) margaritas and bebida naturales.
