I arrived today in Melbourne and needed something to eat in the late afternoon. Found Meatmother on TripAdvisor and went there together with a Co-Worker. The interior is modern, simple and cool. The waitress was awesome. She explained everything to first timer to Australia and made very good recommendations. The food was very good, a little bit cold but from... More

We were lucky enough to be squeezed in for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive + I love the decor of this restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the sizes and quality. I know this sounds ridiculous considering the name of the restaurant but I did think a few more... More

If you're in Richmond and love meat this place is a must... We shared the chefs tasting selection plate, and it was outstanding, we got so much for our money and of very high quality. The brisket and pulled pork delicious, plus do not miss the chicken ribs... The restaurant caters to gluten free and doesn't skip on taste... The... More

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night, very casual but comfortable. Service was lovely, friendly and formative when necessary. Food was incredible! As big fans of barbecue, this was easily some of the best.

Ok, had burnt ends which were beautiful and there were plenty of them. For mains i had brisket which let the great service and everything else down. It was dry with a very small bowl of sauce to use on 3 slices. The service was great and the staff friendly but would i go back? I don't think so.

We were a party of three and dined on a Friday night. A number of our party had the brisket and unfortunately it was a bit too dry. With the amount of choice in Richmond I wouldn't rush back here.

Amazing smoked amazingness. Some of the best American BBQ I've had outside of America. Loved it and will go back.

Meatmother has quite a good reputation and so we were pretty excited to eat here. We have been to a number of BBQ restaurants in Melbourne, and isn't as good as many others. The food is fairly good, but nothing special. Our pulled pork was actually quite dry and lacked flavour, the brisket was pretty good. Considering the price, we... More
