Absolutely one of the best places of Puerto lopez!
The food is nice, delicious and healthy. Also lot of vegetarian and vegan options.
The herbs in the tea came straight from the garden, I was even invited to choose them myself because I didn’t know them.
Besides the food is already absolutely worth the visit, the service is excellent as well. They do everything to conform you as much as possible.
And than, the beautiful sunsets here..

What is not to like about a cafe that burns palo santo as soon as it opens to create good energy and ward off negativity!
The cinnamon cappuccino was yummy. Sipped and watched the surf. Great way to start the day.

This beautiful and cosy restaurant is situated in a more quiet and much nicer part of Puerto Lopez. We enjoyed the peace and the foods and drinks. Everything was just perfect. I can certainly recommend the fishtartar and also the limonada and Caipirinha! Very friendly people.

Their shrimp encocado is $11 tho it is $8 other places in town. Small portion, comes with French fries or salad, no rice. More suited as an appetizer than a meal.
Altho it is prohibited to smoke indoors in public areas, others smoked inside while I was waiting for my food and staff did not make them stop when I complained. I went there as the food was allegedly good and I didn't want to deal with the noise from the main area of town. Should have gone somewhere else.

We are staying at Hosteria Madala and stopped here for lunch. The smoothies are wonderful. We had crepes, sándwiches and the fish of the day- mahi mahi. All very good- fresh with organic ingredients. The chocolate crepe dessert was excellent to share for dessert. The service was excellent as well!

We stayed two nights. The room was nice and clean. No housekeeping, except you pay 5 $. Not even the trash was emptied.
We had breakfast twice, it was nothing special, but solid. Staff was friendly. The facilities were not clean, not the tables, nore the chairs/sofas.

Simple, fresh and excellent, every time. We stayed at their hostel for 2 nights and ended up having all our breakfasts and dinners here, not because its the only optio in town but because it one of the best.

Cozy and laid back, ocean-front living-room vibe. Recommended only for (over-priced) beers and petting cute dogs at sunset. Food was not so good, i had a weirdly spiced shrimp submarine-type sandwich that was very dry and fell apart immediately. My friend had a strange pasta/pesto pile that was also dry and unadorned. The mojitos were okay but had too much mint and kept clogging the straws. Somehow we spent $35 for only 2 drinks and 2 “meh” snacks.

Perfect place in Manabi beach. I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner (in 2 days!). Excellent food and service. Highly recommended.

I love the plants and the garden, plus the view of the beach. Drinks are good here too!

With a charming server, Iñaki. Enjoyed two meals here during a short stay. Limited menu. Nice view across to the beach. At the quiet end of the Malecón, two doors up from the Mandala.

This place is a delight. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just a drop in for an afternoon coffee or an evening beer, always great. Plus best coffee in town, without any doubt.
Super nice staff, and a very pretty setting.
Definitely a favourite.

We went for the menu. Every day they have a menu and thus time we started with a very nice vegetable soup followed by delicious tuna steak. Friendly servants. Nice view on the beach and ocean.

Cafe Madame is a must visit for anyone looking for a gluten free meal when visiting Puerto Lopez. We went for breakfast and were really impressed with the quality of the food and the prices for what was included. I had the gluten free crepes with fruit which were delicious and filling. The services was excellent, we couldn’t fault anything. Definitely would visit again!
