Terrible place, tatty on the outside. Food was awful greasy, grey fish and overpriced. We went because we read reviews but realized they were very misleading. Extremely poor quality.

Although we would have loved the dine-in experience, the takeout halibut and chips back in our hotel room was still delish!

Wigan Pier is a little challenging to find and then challenging to find a parking spot. The restaurant is small with a traditional feeling of an English fish and chips store. The fish is fresh with a tradition beer batter. The chips are home made...and very plentiful. Order a side of coleslaw as it really adds to the meal. Good food and good value.More

Where ever I go in the world I try the fish and chips. They are all graded on the "Wigan Pier" scale. In Vancouver, Go Fish is about an 8 on the WP scale. Mrs. Chong's chippy in Bolton is about an 8 1/2. On...my way back from Whistler today I had halibut and chips there. Amazingly enough, I scored the meal a good 12 on the WP scale.!! Do not miss this treat.More

First time and hubby super happy to see some northern food from his neck of the woods. Cosy place and super friendly. Busy but not overwhelming. Pies are homemade. Shame it is a little bit out of the way from Vancouver but it was a...nice to pass by on the way to Whistler. Definate must tryMore

We read the reviews and decided to go. We drove by it and went “what?!” I did not feel comfortable going in. But the restaurants are few so we went in. Completely non-threatening! The food was excellent. I had the fish and chips-halibut. Awesome! My...husband tried the chowder and he said it was very good. You won’t regret eating here.More

Went into shop to check it out. All friendly. Went back to order, and asking price was way above menu price. Clerk came out and said their sign was wrong and should have been changed some time ago. He would not respect the posted price...so we walked away. How can you post a price on a sign and the not honour it? We missed out on probably a good meal but they missed out on a paying customer and got a poor write up!!!More

Visited mid week and the 1 waitress was busy but managed the time to answer our questions and make suggestions. Recommend you try the clam chowder ! We split the Special large Haddock dinner, 15.95 which include more than enough fries for 2 and coleslaw...!More

Trust me....I've eaten A LOT of fish & chips from all over the place and this is by far the best ever! Yes, ever! Nice light batter on the fish and chips are made with real potatoes (not frozen). Tartar sauce is the bomb!
