There are lots of eating places in Cowbridge, but hadn't tried here before. Good to note that they scored 5 (out of 5) for the Food Hygiene inspection (mandatory in Wales). The service was very attentive (a little too keen on times), but polite and pleasant. The menu was extensive, but I did note a price differential from their website... More

We had our first meal here last week with 4 friends. Would definitely go again. Excellent service. Really good selection of food. Tasty, hot. Nothing was too much trouble.

Three of us visited Haddarts for lunch. Although this was my first time my friends are regular diners there. Everything about my visit was exceptional. Firstly the service was quick and friendly and efficient. The menu changes on a regular basis and on this occasion they even had laverbread as a starter. I had the salmon steak as my main... More

Last minute decision to go out on a Friday evening and luckily we were able to get a table. Atmosphere lovely, food as always excellent. One of the very few restaurants I have the confidence to recommend.

Service was quick, friendly and efficient and the food was really enjoyable. The only downside which I find with all these types of restaurants is that they are expensive for a very short dining experience and always feel that for the same sort of money I could have a more relaxed 2 or 3 course meals in medium price range... The staff and overall service was nothing short of excellent. However the food, when presented on the menu offered a decent choice and when served was clearly done with artistry, left me a bit disappointed given the reputation. A spicy chicken salad wasn't in any way spicy. The 'subtle' lemon grass was virtually absent. Decent cut of bird but overall,... More

Myself and my partner visited Huddart's recently for Sunday lunch. It was reasonably priced for a 3 course meal £19.95. The food was very well presented, tasted delicious and was generous with portions. The restaurant was clean and well presented, the atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were tremendously welcoming, polite and helpful!. Most definitely will be returning!.

I visited this small charming restaurant with my husband last evening for dinner. It is family run and the attention to detail is amazing. The food was excellent, along with the service. Deffinately recommend.

This was a surprise celebratory evening dinner for my wife together with father in law, our daughter and her partner. I had booked it 10 days previously having not eaten at this establishment in the past even though having lived in the area for more than 30 years...!....wow have we been missing out...! It was a little quiet there that... More

First time visitors to Huddart's, we were not sure what to expect from the unprepossessing exterior. Once throgh the door, however, the welcome was warm, efficient and very relaxed. Clearly this is a restaurant with a great many happy, returning customers, as we intend to be. People were returning for lunch, the phone ringing to take Easter bookings, and another... More

Ten miles from Cardiff, in the historic market town of Cowbridge, you'll find Huddarts Restaurant. It's worth the trip. Inside the beautiful Georgian house, dating back to 1756 you'll find a delighful intimate restaurant boasting a selection of A La Carte dishes with a marriage of old time charm and modern splendour. Since 1996 all produce has been sourced as much as possible locally and prepared on the premises by owner chef Andrew Huddart, front of house is looked after by his wife Julie.
