We called in after a recommendation from a friend. Had a pint of Butty Bach great pint well kept. Wife had a glass of Merlot, she enjoyed. Ordered Veggie "Shepherds Pie" & Fish & Chips. The Veggie Shepherds Pie was outstanding. Full of bean protein & fabulous flavour from herbs & good vegetables. A most enjoyable treat. My fish &... More

Very pleasant evening. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was well cooked, well presented and tasty. We ate in the restaurant which was very clean and comfortable, with some lovely art work by Sue Fish and others adorning the walls.

I had chicken Tikka and my husband had corn beef pie with chips and gravy. Have marked it as a cheap eats because that is what we had for a lunch ,but they also do a very... More

Visited here with a friend for the first time today. I was totally surprised by the quality of the food, the warm welcome of the very professional staff and the excellent value for money. It will definitely not be my last visit .

Our first visit, but definitely won't be our last! We were made so welcome by the landlady and the locals. Good menu and great food and very reasonable prices. We ate in the bar as we had our two dogs with us, but there is a nice restaurant, too, and great outside areas to sit.

Ok it's not fine dining and it's not a gastro pub, what it is, is a very competent country pub serving hearty meals with good service at a reasonable cost [ the mixed grill is huge] Definitely worth a visit

Fabulous atmosphere and traditional old Welsh country pub. In winter it's cozy and warm with a log burner and summer there's a pretty garden. We've visited here mainly with our black Labrador with us and are looked after so well. We've eaten in the bar and restaurant and both equally excellent. The Friday special fish and chips is great as... More

Suzanne and the locals were beyond helpful, not only serving us with good quality food quickly, but also giving us directions to our destinations and going so far as to offer her number to ring in case we got lost. Very friendly service and generous portions.
